I JUST REALIZED I SPELLED TWILIGHT WRONG IN THE TITLE AND THE VIDEO, GODDAMIT.
a few explanations and headcanons:

dainsleif used to have long hair to match with kaeya until he cut it because it was getting in the way of his battles. they also didn't care about gender roles (and still don't) so they'd wear feminine clothing from time to time for fun and pose. kaeya also calls him "my Twilight Sword" to tease him because dain couldn't stop calling kaeya "my prince" even though kaeya had told him to call him kaeya many times. it was part of dain's knight training to address kaeya formally, so he always had a hard time getting used to addressing kaeya simply by name. sometimes he'd interrupt himself, like this: "my pri- kaeya," because of habit.

edit: forgot to address the fact that i know khaenri'ah is underground, so it is inaccurate to portray them like this. well, actually, i have anothee headcanon where dain already knew what the outside world looked like because he's immortal. he just took on a child like form to be able to protect kaeya undercover, and he knew the way out of khaenri'ah to the outside world, so kaeya managed to persuade dain many times to take him outside to see the stars, and soon it became a routine to sneak out of the khaenri'ahn kingdom and castle and escape to the outside world to be themselves. they always returned home before dawn, of course.
