Dead Space Remake Is Perfect

It’s anything but a perfect game there’s some gameplay issues I see however I’ll actively ignore that because in the original I had such a huge beef with the map system because I had to look up the map directly to even know where I was going because the design that was terrible but being directed now brings a lot of stress away from that and focusing more on the gameplay aspect was much needed tbh and I like most of the game and it’s a whole lot more fun than the original and I could honestly say I’ll play the campaign over and over and not be bored by it

Played the game and was hooked. I just pimped out one gun and sold my un-upgraded gun ammo to stock up on nodes. Then I was blasting through it. Great remake. Hopefully Deadspace 2 gets a remake.

Im so glad I can play this with gamepass. I liked the game so much Im going to buy it because I definitely want to support more Dead Space remakes. Please EA make it happen.

In the original game, kendra was a unitologist to the end even after seeing all the brutal shit, in the remake she actually has a fucking brain and pretty much says "fuck y'all imma bring this back to be destroyed!"

Just started playing since it came of game pass. There’s a lot of positives, but I feel the enemies are a bit bullet spongy. However, I did play on new game+ a lot on the original, so it could just be me.

The main change to the Plasma Cutter, that I'm still torn on whether I like it or not, is that its shots no longer stagger Necromorphs. At least, not unless a shot takes off a limb. In the original, you could straight-up stun-lock a Necromorph with the Plasma Cutter and this one feature that probably goes unnoticed by a lot of people is why the Plasma Cutter feels fairly weak at the start. Well, that and also the fact I'm pretty sure it just does less damage overall I think. Possibly due to the new flesh-peeling system.

I had a moment that stuck with me too..

I was hiding in a room from a Necromorph that was coming in through the door and I was backing up aiming at the door waiting for him to come in but didn't realise there was a vent behind me and then boom and jumped right out on me from behind me then the one came from the door so I had one at each side, it was a great, intense moment.

You sat for 15 hours straight?

I've never played dead space before, so I decided to try the game on account of it being added to game pass for spooky season and honestly got kinda frustrated. I spent my first hour with the game just trying to fix the controls, because on pc there's a problem where it detects phantom button presses from a controller and prevents you from doing much of anything, ( I couldnt run, couldnt stomp, couldnt get out of ads, and every time I left a menu isaac would shoot) and when I was removing the controller keybinds I discovered that, at least for me, if I accidentally clicked the controller keybinds instead of unbinding them it would lock the game up, forcing me to restart the game. It totally killed any sense of dread I was feeling and made the initial hallway scene kinda boring. When you've seen it for the 5th time and the necromorphs physically wont follow you while you are unable to run you just dont feel scared at all.

shit game on consoles ..bought on ps5 ..could not even finish the game because of the control's.. "cut out their limbs" you must be a pro with the shitty controller to do that..auto aim is a joke ! On residend evil 4 remake you can aim using controller gyro aim witch was the best ..but not dead space cos let the player die 1000 and waste their time!

Kendra, Hammond and Dr Kyn dialog was in the 2008 version better.

I can't believe it's already been more than half of a year since this beautiful remake came out.

It's woke trash and the game flopped, it didn't even come close to the sales goal. The OG version is better all around.

I think the super early scare on the elevator was better on the original, the monster looked scarier.

Sorry but a perfect game has to have meet a probability of 1 x 10^-2 for crashes/fatal bugs per hour and Dead Space is NOWHERE NEAR that threshold

I will not credit EA much about the re-release to a remake but Motive knows their stuff to revive this series which is a plus. If EA decides to fuck up the series again, however, it’s on sight. Trust

Apart from Nicole looking more like the voice actress, it also helps having jer appear older considering she was literally the senior medical advisor aboard the Ishimura. The original design for Nicole looked like a recent college graduate, doesn't really make sense having someone that young in such a high up position that would require years of first hand experience

I half-agree with the thermite based explosive being more realistic but in reality thermite doesn't explode as much like NCl or TNT - it melts the surface with high chemical heat but you still wouldn't stand next to it.

You know, the fact that the original dead space was a great game really helped the dev team with remaking it.

completely unplayable on PC. crashes every 5-10 min. for me cyberpunk was more stable on day 1.
and they haven't even patched dead space since Feb. have they just forgot about it? do they even care?

The only downsides I found were Mercer and Kendra's deaths were kinda boring and lame compared to the original. Everything else is either faithful or an improvement. A true masterpiece.

The only thing i didn't like hamonds new voice actor original is just great

I personally found Dead space remake a tad over rated. By level 10 I just gave up on it. I'd just got bored of it. Certainly not a patch on resident evil 4.

Not perfect. Not bad, I'd imagine. But far from perfect... The OG Dead Space outpaces it... I purchased the Remake, but refunded immediately after getting the first gun.

Why? Because I noticed the laser sights no longer interact with environmental geometry correctly, as they did in the original..

I know, it's a minor detail.. But it's all in the details for me.. And when a new game has less attention to detail than the OG, that's a red flag for me... Refund!

The changes in Isaac's speech based on his health was a nice addition. For that matter the difference in dialog between NG and NG+ were great too! Can't decide which of his final boss lines was better. Amazing deliveries Gunner!

After giving Callisto Protocol a fair shot, I’m ready for Dead Space again. This looks amazing, and unlike CP, it won’t disappoint.
