Hello, I bought the saver day pass on the SBB website for me and my family. But two of the tickets have the wrong day of birth. The month and year are correct. Will this give me problems using the ticket in Switzerland or is there a way to modify those dates of birth in the ticket reservation? What do they request on trains to use the saver day pass?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Quick question , im travelling to the jungfrau region in august but didnt know what pass to buy if any at all.
We are going for 5 nights and worked out the cost of the train fair to the area from zurich which we have accounted for .
But once we get to the jungfrau region do we really need the pass ?
We are thinking of just paying daily for what we need as the cost of tbe pass for 2 is pretty high.
I mean when looking at train prices on the app from the village we are staying in just outside interlaken the prices to and form neighbouring villages / towns isnt that bad at around 20 to 30 a return .
My real question is do many people board the cable cars and are they expensive? Im not sure whether to bite the bullet and get the pass to allow us on everything stress free or just pay as you go . Any help would be appreciated or advice and info on daily cost of travel in that region

Hi, I really loved your video and it is very informative. I wanted to ask a question if I buy a 2nd class swiss travel pass can I reserve seats in Prestige coach in the Golden pass express or reserve seat in 1st class in the Belle Epoque train. I am really confused, could you help me provide some clarification.

I’m actually thinking considering it gives rain for the 4 days we are there we might just pay as we go as the stuff we wanted to do is 645 but if weather bad may not do some and regardless of pay half fare or Swiss travel could cost more in long run

I tried to purchase the half fare card today April 22, 2023 but only a 1 year card is available for 185 CHF. I could not find a 1 month half fare card for 120 CHF. Did they discontinue the 1 month option? I see that Malou J just posted 4 days ago that he purchased the half fare card for 120 CHF. Why can't I find it? Any help would be appreciated.

QUESTION: I purchased the Swiss half fare card (120 chf), but on the sbb app, I get the message that my swisspass account is not linked to my Swisspass card. I don't have that card and I don't have the customer number they keep asking.
The tickets prices showed on the sbb app are different from the desk version on my same account. Do I need that Swisspass card, or just the Swiss half fare card with individual ticket purchase at the station? Thanks!

Very good video, right on target! Just two little remarks about trains: it's obviously not the classiest thing to do, but it's not forbidden to spread your feet on the seat in front of you. A lot of people do it (mostly young people, I admit) from time to time.

If you do it, however, it's important to take off your shoes (or put a newspaper under your feet). Under these conditions, no train agent will reproach you.

And of course, you have to free the seat in front when the train fills up! In that It's the same thing for bags and suitcases... Please, no bags on the seat next to you or in front of you when the train is filling up, it's basic courtesy... and yet even at rush hour, some people wait for passengers to ask them if they can sit down to finally remove their bags. This is inexcusable!

The second thing is, buying your train ticket in advance allows you to save a lot of money indeed, but not as much as you make it seem in the video. Most of the time, the discount is between 20 and 50% if you buy it more than a week in advance. In some rare cases, you can get 60% off, but I've never seen three times less than the regular price!

Hi guys, is there another official page for tourists to buy the swiss travel pass? The page that they mention does not accept my credit card and I have already seen several comments where they indicate that they do not receive the payment. I appreciate if you can provide me with any information since I will be traveling soon.

Hi guys. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE GREAT INFO! You guys are lifesavers! I'm preparing for my trip to Switzerland in December and I did a mock ticket buying for 2 months in advance so I could see the fares from Nuremberg, Germany to Luzern. OK, I think I did something wrong cause the price the SBB site gave me for FIVE people on this trip was CHF 244. Also, next to BUY NOW link it says "Sparpreis Europa incl. City-Ticket ." I have no idea what this means either. OMG I feel so overwhelmed with this trip! I would really appreciate if you guys could tell me where can I use this Sparpreis included city ticket, like, what is it for? I don't wanna miss any discounts. AND CHF 244 ($266) for 5 people? That price doesn't make sense to me on a trip from Germany to Switzerland. Everywhere I look it's $600+. Thank you guys!

I am thinking to buy "Top of Europe winter pass" as it is available till 30th April for 3 days. After spending 4 days, we would like to move to Lucerne to explore Titlis mountain. If I buy my half price card now for travel in May and want to purchase train tickets and Jungfraujoch tickets with it NOW before they sell out, will the half fare card work? Or does it only work when purchasing the tickets during the dates of the pass? I'd like to take advantage of the discounts but seats are selling fast!

We will have a car so not planning to take any public transport except the train/gondola to Grindelwald.

Do we need to book in advance or can we purchase when we get there?

I went to Switzerland in April 2019 for 11 days and went ahead and purchased the 15-day pass to have my entire trip covered.

I flew into Zürich, and went to Luzern, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, Bern, and Fiesch, and back to Zürich. I also used it for two museums and, back then, a gondola trip to the Schilthorn was included in the pass. With all that, I came out slightly ahead on the economics of buying the pass.

One thing you didn't discuss was the SBB app for your phone. I found it to be extraordinarily useful and easy to use. The QR code for my Swiss Travel Pass was easy to pull up and show to the conductor checking fares.

Hi Alexis and Louis, I booked a trip to visit Switzerland and Germany for this summer and our plans are to fly into Zurich then travel to Interlaken for 2 days. From there spend 3 days in Grindelwald, then head to Fussen Germany for a couple of days and finally head to Munich to end our trip. We are not renting a car, so all train travel. After watching your videos, it sounds like a good option would be to get Eurail passes and Top of Europe passes and that should cover most of the travels between locations. Please let me know if you think another option would be better. Thank You !
