I head many sounds that you created on this video that were used on ELP's, Lucky Man....COOL!!!
ОтветитьRobots ! Computers !
ОтветитьMarcians !
Attack from space !
Sounds creepy , doesn’t it ?
ОтветитьThis system is the basis for vocal synthesis by computers , so elexa and others are voiced this way . But now the system is miniaturized . And I mean really tiny ! So this fella is demonstrating one of the original devices at original size . Big huh ? At scale this machine is large . Compared to the eniac computer from World War Two . But like I said it’s been miniaturized . For today .
Ответитьyoinky sploinky
ОтветитьYou could spend your entire life fiddling with those knobs.
ОтветитьReminds me 1970s sci-fi movies.
Ответитьdon't tell smiser about this video
ОтветитьIt's truly amazing that the modular Moogs from 1969 can actually do hundreds of thousands of things that today's synthesizers can't do.
ОтветитьWow thank you ! your passion is inspiring :D
ОтветитьThese things would make great hurricane warning stations
Ответить"Hyper Gamma Spaces" by Alan Parson's Project, is one of my all time fave, I wonder if one of those where used to create it.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this demonstration! It gave me chills right away from the start. It is really amazing to hear these sounds again and to see how they were made in the past using this incredible machine.😻 I seem to remember many of those sounds when I played games on my Commodore 64 computer in the 1980s. But even so, the similar sounds made by the C64 Computer didn't have as much "body" (sorry, I'm no native speaker) and sounded a bit more flat than what I hear now in this video from the original moog device. Or maybe my speakers today are better. :D
ОтветитьThis must be what the end of the universe sounds like 🌌💗
ОтветитьI was an in house sound engineer at a live music venue for a couple of years. I'd heard many ,what I thought were great Moog simulations, from Korg, Nord etc. Until one night, a guy brought in a real moog. He did a sweep and I had to run for the faders. This thing was dangerous. These things can definitely blow speakers. The difference was astonishing.
ОтветитьIntro = dhiarrea
ОтветитьNow we can understand to DJ's. They move buttons and nothing happens, but this guy moves them and everything happens, every thing...
ОтветитьI really appreciate both Daniel's knowledge of the system as well as his genuine passion and love for it. Great video, I'm a new fan of his. Thank you, Daniel.
ОтветитьMy dog absolutely loves this video.
ОтветитьPlease tell us you're not actually going to sell that huge monstrosity. Christ, we can get the exact same sound and control from a $150 Arturia plugin.

ОтветитьDude! You're cool!
ОтветитьThey set it on a case to make it look taller.
ОтветитьIt's crazy. Now you can just pull up an app on your cellphone and make all the same sounds as something the size of a refrigerator 50 years ago.
ОтветитьIt's great but those phono cables would do my head in lol
Ответитьwhat a machine!
ОтветитьI just now realise how much Moog influence Terraria's soundtrack has
ОтветитьAnd still some people INSIST that plugins sound the same and if you don't agree then you're just crazy.
ОтветитьThis thing just made every noise and sound from all the sci-fi, and bad B grade movies from the 60's and 70's I ever saw! Awesome!
ОтветитьThe thing about it is that it's idiot-proof. You can't plug into a "wrong place". The worst you could do is fail to make the sound you want. My employer once let me play his Moog IIIp (one that eventually ended up in Tangerine Dream's recordings) as much as I wanted to (in 1970-ish). Blew up some glassware, Had a LOT of fun making real music. Now I have a Behringer System 55, but can't remember the configuration of the IIIP from 50 years ago. Oh well, I have a lot of time to play with it. Thank goodness for YT and people posting their experience.
Ответить“The availability of a patch cord is inversely proportional to your need.”
ОтветитьJust one word: Jarre....
ОтветитьI came here for this. And i came here after this. ;-D
Ответитьdo you have anything to do with bobby fisher? the world renowned chess player ?
Ответитьwhy so many cables??? couldn't this be simplified???
ОтветитьACHO QUE MEADOS DE 70 ATÉ UMA ÉPOCA FOI O PAI DOS EFEITOS SONOROS DE FILMES DE FICÇÃO CIENTÍFICA. FAZIA TUDO PORRA! DO CACETE ESSE EQUIPAMENTO.
ОтветитьBy 1969 Hugo Montenegro had an Album entitled "Moog Power!!!!" - that is about the kind of electronic sinthetizer he used! -
Ответитьincredible machine
ОтветитьFonction like the yamaha CS10
ОтветитьThis thing has a conscience!
Ответить👍👏👏
