I sold my Oiz TR M10. It was nervous on steeper descents and too harsh in its setup. The bike was great but it has too much XC left in it. I went with the Occam instead. Those Orbeas are really nicely put together. Nice review, you were spot on! EDIT: I'm not that skilled so don't think anyone should hesitate shortlisting this bike even for trail rides.

Just a thought:Since all the highest end FS xc bikes use virtually the same two big name components, Sram or Shimano, only vary by one or two degrees on their head tube angle, nearly same shock and fork travel, and weigh within a half pound or at the most one pound, they all perform nearly identically. I've ridden various top end models in my size and can barely tell any difference or no difference at all. I've raced for 6 years and have put in about 300-400 kilometers a week or more in riding for years, so I'm not a beginner making these comments. It really comes down to adjustment of suspension, tire choice and pressure setting, and cockpit adjustment, unless color and shape are big on your list. I have my favorites too :-)

How tall are you? I'm considering the XL model and I'm 6ft.

So I am in the market for a bike scott spark this orbea oiz and the Occam also I seen the norco. But I dont need more then 140 of travel needs from biking with family on rail to trails to rough single track. Rode a lot of single track on an cx bike so I just need a trail bike that can pedal all day but doesnt mind getting rowdy if need be

An review of a bike without the standard oem wheels is not the best way to give a picture of the bike. I can see there is Enve (carbon?) wheels on and they are not the stock wheels (in 2019 it was Mavic crossmax elite alu there was oem stock wheels) . In 2020 you can get this bike with either Dt swiss1900 or dt swiss 1650 alu wheels, or dt swiss 1200 carbon wheels from the factory.

Nice bike! Would you recomend version 120 / 120 bike for someone recreational, who drive 80% gravel and quite easy single tracks and other 20% maybe some more hard trails decends. Would be TR option maybe to much? Or would be better option 100/100 bike w drop seat maybe?

Nice bike.
I would now rather buy an orbea occam tr. it has 120 mm 130 mm travel.

I've got the 2019 Oiz TR 2019 (120mm) and love it. Only mods were a tire swap and went to an 80mm 0 degree stem instead of the 110 -20 degree. Great value!

Nice review! I'm about to pull the trigger on the TR version (L or XL). I read in the comments that you are happy with the XL - but would you go with L for racing? I'm 186 cm (6'1") and 89 cm (35") between the legs. Cheers!

How tall are you? Inseam? I think you said you were on an XL. Curious if you thought that was the right size?
