PC Longplay [054] Space Quest V: The Next Mutation

They look fun, based on what I've seen but I've never owned any of the games. It's more out of sheer laziness to find them than non-interest.

Oh. Have you heard of the website called "GOG.com"? If not, you >really< should! They sell Good Old Games at low prices, and have made them work on new systems. I feel like I'm fanboying/propaganda:ing, but I can't stress how utterly awesome that site is.

Well, then I'll check it out in two months. I got two classes before I graduate and I don't wanna screw that up by having Sierra marathons. XD Thanks!

Any good with Financial management? The other class is just hard in the manner of impressing the teacher with my research and writing skills. I swear if I could write a paper on Sierra games, I'd have an easy A.

Played this game at least 5 times. I remember buying it in a game store...what was the f'n name of those stores back then? They were in the mall and had pic hard disc games.

Anyway, this game was my fav of the series. I remember that robot babe with the bible metal boobs. Good times, I also liked the mall level in SQ3

My fav in the series alongside SQ3. Man I feel old.

I'll never forget the Whoppee Cusion in the Captain's Chair.  Cliffy must've installed it.

just recently started watching play throughs of all these, I loved playing this series when i was a kid in the 90's space quest 5 was the hardest for me to get my hands on 

Wasn't there a speech track that came with this...Last time I played it I was able to listen to what the descriptions said.... Interesting...

There sure is a lot of sitting around and talking in this game. I remember being frustrated by the comparative lack of puzzle solving and exploring.

Man, I loved this game back in the day...I played it every time I went to my uncle's house. It's still the only game in the series I've ever played (just like KQ6).

This was THE best damn game in the series. Epic characters...Epic story.
Who didn't fall in love with every crew member (and Spikey) by the end?

Roger was an actual character, too. More than just a stereotypical loser with a lot of luck, this Roger is brave, charismatic, and heroic - traits that eventually prove to counterbalance his lack of intelligence. This is a man you can actually root for. (and one you haven't already seen a dozen times in other media.)

Wow.... as a kid I only made it to like 2300 score then got stuck... nice to finally see how the whole story goes

I just realized that the mutants who infected Quirk and the Goliath's crew are the ones who stole the shuttle on Klorox II. Where Quirk had dropped the Genetex soup to begin with.
