Kafka + Spark Streaming + Hive -- example

Hi Davis, great tutorial! I am having an issue when running "hdfs namenode -format" it return error with the core-site.xml file. Nay idea what could be done?

Hey Davis. Thanks for your tutorial, its very informative. I am doing a poc on sending a the contents of a flatfile and dropping it into hdfs via kafka and spark streaming. Since I am a student can you please show a demo using another pySpark script , to achieve that. Many Thanks
