Absolutely HORRIBLE photography. So jumpy I couldn't tell if you were in the waves or not. Couldn't watch the whole thing. Nauseated

Cape Cod formed about 10-12,000 yards ago, so it’s not a stretch to think it may wash away in another 10,000 years, or be once again buried under ice

The amount of sand seaward of that house on Ballston Beach is amazing now. The scene went by so quickly, I wasn't sure, but I don't think you can stand where that was shot anymore.

It probably will last 10,000 years, the upper cape interior. Ten thousand years is 100 centuries. Can the Cape withstand 100 “storms of the century?” Probably, but the rising sea level will mean it’s eventual demise will be exponential, and not linear. I’m betting my house value that we are still in the relatively flat part of the decay curve.

Am I wrong in saying that all the beaches here are man made? I'm under the impression that the pine trees on all sides made it all the way to the water at one point. It would therefore be foolish to proclaim that we are " preserving" them.
