I agree with the other comments. Atleast with the following:

- remove the quick time events
- change the camera angle (it's too closed up and feels more like Resident Evil)

So I’m confused. Why are people hating on this? I’m not saying you shouldn’t be I’m just genuinely curious. I enjoy silent hill 2 so I don’t know if I’m missing something or 😅

This having a combat trailer is a huge red flag to me, it looks like they saw re2 remake and decided to do that but in Silent Hill you’re supposed tk feel helpless so polishing the combat and making it look like James has the same combat experience as Leon Kennedy kinda takes away from that ngl

I mean, to play Devil's advocate in regards to the combat (WHICH DEFINITELY NEEDS POLISHING AND WORK DONE), it adds to the elements of playing as someone with no combat experience since James is kinda an average Joe with issues.

I think im the only one who still has positive hopes by this remake. Okay it will not be fluid combat like RE, but the clunky combat is a part of the silent hill series, in this case a mental broken man James protagonist.

I wish Konami could strike a deal with Capcom to remake their games.

Biggest problem for me are the animations: how character moves, open door, his body movement in combat

The over-the-shoulder look ruins half the horror of the original game. Also why does every game remake nowadays feel the need to remake the ost as well? I get the idea, remake the game's soundtrack with the game, but some if not most soundtracks are timeless and don't really need updating
