Getting Started with the DJI Mavic Mini - Setup and First Flight

Hi mate
I lost the app in my phone so how can I get the app in my phone ?

My mini and remote won’t connect to one another. Any ideas?

So I learned very quickly DO NOT fly this when it’s about to get dark. I just bought mine and was excited to use it when I got off work. I felt like it was still light out so I was good mannnn I flew it for 10 minutes and it said “low light, losing signal” or something along those lines. When I tell you it was getting dark fast!!! I clicked RTH and for some reason it kept flying higher then I got an alert that said my drone was outside of the legal height in my area. I didn’t realize I didn’t know how to move the camera so I can see what was below, I thought it was lost , I was stressed 🫠 so now I’m taking notes I thought I watched enough videos before I got it 😭😭😭

Will it return if the battery gets low or it recognized that you may have gone to far with the battery you have left and return home

I'm so pleased I watched this before my drone arrived, I'm a 71yr old and VERY inexperienced drone pilot and only flown a couple of cheap toy drones before. I thought I'd get something a little better while I still tread the daisies just waiting for my refurbished Mavic Mini to arrive thinking it would be like the toys until I saw how comprehensive the program is. Your excellent video has shown me how wrong I was by thinking my Mini was going to be like the others, I had no idea how much was in the program but now after watching this I at least know what I'm in for, very exciting, thanks so much.

This is the best video I've seen so far. I just purchased a mini drone and have yet to take it out ( really nervous about crashing and destroying it!". This guide has helped me tremendously with all the controls and what everything does in the different menus. Thanks very much for posting this. I live in London, England.

all good info but from my recent experience I can only say that the most important lesson with a satellite signal dependent drone like the Mini 2 i bought a year ago is to never lose the security info you gave to DJI or whoever gives you access to the satellite... I lost access to my gmail password ( and google sucks when it comes time to help recover such ) and no longer have a functional drone due to my naivety.... with no gmail access i can not prove to DJI that I am the legal owner of my drone therefore I now own a drone that i can't fly... wtf !!!

I bought mine early this year and now the dji fly app is not working. I flew the drone about 7 times and now the app keeps crashing and not opening. Horrible NOT RECOMMEND.

Note: If you own a Samsung Galaxy S-series phone, do not expect your DJI products to work. I have the Galaxy S21 Ultra. A couple months ago, their apps stopped working with my device. I have the Mavic Mini and the Osmo Mobile 4. After speaking with tech support this morning, it was acknowledged that their apps don't support that Android. A little further examination on Google yields the information that says DJI emulates the Apple ecosystem. Apple's ecosystem is intentionally incompatible with Androids.

Ultimately, the tech support guy advised that I get another phone. Zero stars for DJI.
