I have a series of books and I manage to produce 3 episodes in 3D. It was extremely laborious, I spent 2 years in the making of these episodes. I'm waiting for good AI news to give my series a viable graphic solution, be an animation or a graphic novel.

No. Just no. I have had much experience with AI and it's generative skills and it doesn't live up to the hype that people make it be. To a non-developer this may seem like an easy cheat code but nope, it's not. Pretty much same as ChatGPT, it's good at doing simple stuff but the moment you try doing something more complex it breaks apart. This is really all it is. It's just about the different complexity levels the developers of AIs make it withstand before breaking apart. Cool in theory but you wouldn't really find much use for these simple meshes, for example...

Brilliant, no more use for human imagtination or creativty, just toss that all away and prompt, hit the jackpot lever and see what the ai comes up with. No more stuggling or use of your brain, just go get a cup of coffee and see what the genie has come up with for lazy unimagnitive Joe. If you don't like it just hit the leaver again and again until the ai creates something you like and then you can go around tell people you where the one who created this.

AI CANNOT BEAT HUMAN CREATIVITY

If you can't copyright AI results then everyone can just copy what you "made" (model, game, movie etc), or even manually copy what you "made" and copyright it themselves. And I don't see AI results being copyrightable in the future either, it would create a feedback loop of nauseating AI "patent trolls" and (probably AI) litigation responses. If it was copyrightable then it would very quickly descend into chaos and all that freedom to create will be lost, because you would need an AI to wade through all the potential copyright claims. lol It's totally unworkable.

When IA for 3D Modeling start to understand edge-flow, poly-count and others essencial topics on 3D Modeling, then it will be a real thing to production...
Its like in my Job, every time they provide me some scanned model its require a good mesh and texture reconstruction to be used, like when its need to be a low-poly model for web for example...

Ok I have been around innovative tech for decades.... The 2000's saw tech develop from innovation to marketing bollox!!! The cloud, was nothing but hard drives plugged into the internet, cloud computing failed and still does as transactions and updates across multiple machine IO's can't happen fast enough. Block chain is a joke for the same reason while both use more electrical power to run than Latin America & Africa combined FACT. AI is more logic gates, programmed by a person, AI is not cognitive. It can't think it reacts the only two letters significant here are BS.

AI models MUST be trained on Data. The Data is sourced from existing Human creativity - without consent. In effect it steals existing organic output, manipulates, and produces alternate versions. AI ability to output so quickly with minimal skill, only enables people with no skill to appear as if they have. Ultimately creating an endless loop continual regurgitated variations. AI is great for many things, and should be considered a tool. Not an art-form.

I too have been working in the ai and retail ar space in the last 2 years. I can tell you the ai still quite a ways off. You mentioned how difficult the texture and UV process is in Blender, there's still no way around doing that kind of process if you're going to FINISH a polished asset which a brand would approve the look for. The ai can make a basic texture with a pretty basic UV, but that won't fly for most paying clients. You're saying this will "make a lot of money" for people, but somebody has to approve it before you can send that invoice. An ai generated asset has waaaaay too much artist lift to get there when traditional scanning and photogrammetry still yield an asset that an artist can "clean" faster, easier, and with more accuracy.

i know someday the 3d industry will be outdated once 3d cameras and ai technology perfected making 3d models.

And Steam does not allow AI generated contents games to be uploaded to their store shop unless the owner can prove all their training data copyrignts has no problem.

Update on this genre

Folks create a technology that can steal and mix google search results... And remove all copywriting while doing that (the main reason that text generated becomes gibberish and logos as well) and then keeps inflatuating the tech.

Hmm so I really don't know how big a jump it is for the AI to do what mid journey does in 2d in 3d. If the technical stuff can be sorted out it still won't equal mid journey in 3d because there just aren't that many 3d models, scarcity, file size and cost are problems here. High quality scan data the same.
