This has to be "THE" best video on REW hands down. Can't thank you enough. There are only few people who can explain what they know in an easy to understand manner. 🙏🏼
ОтветитьGreat video...excited to dive into the REW software! I am interested in learning more about Clarity. Improving dialogue intelligibility is one of my goals in treating my home theater.
ОтветитьRemarkable tutorial !
ОтветитьPart 3??
Thanks
What do you think about using the Moving Mic Measurement technique? I noticed that the Noise button was greyed out in your settings. How would I use pink noise and MMM?
ОтветитьThank you sir. Very well done! I hope to see more videos about REW from you.
ОтветитьThis is an amazing video!!! Please do a part three 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Ответитьmy biggest takeaway was to befriend someone who is passionate about room acoustics and knows how to use REW...
ОтветитьMy head hurts...too many questions....I'll keep absorbing, great video 👍🏻
ОтветитьNice video! Quick question: when the SPL graph says 100 db at 1000hz does it count also the energy from the reflections? If so, can I somehow see what is the energy from the sound coming first at the microphone (i.e. no reflected sound)? many thanks!
Ответитьlove to see clarity
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьBestest explanatory video. Let's have that part 3.👏👏👏
ОтветитьIs there a walk-through where someone goes from fresh untreated room, collects measurements, uses measurements to determine necessary treatments, installs treatments and then shows resulting meaurements?
ОтветитьHi thanks for the great video! I have question regarding that last comparison of different speaker positions: In a real world application, would this mean you don't put any panels behind the speakers, because the most balacend response came from that positioning right up to the wall?
ОтветитьThank you for this! Just starting to test my new space and I'm finding your videos very helpful.
And YES to a part 3!!
Would def love to see a part 3 as well in regards to tuning a Church Auditorium with these tools.
ОтветитьWould like see a video on group delay and minimum phase as not all of us can afford to buy smaart software to do church systems
Ответитьsuper great details. please do more to help educate me others like me... not smart people. k thanks bye
ОтветитьHi ! Awsome contents ! It would be great to have a part 3 with a procedure to optimize P.A.s ! Cheers !
ОтветитьLive audio engineer here! I'd love a Part 3 to cover those additional topics you mentioned! :)
ОтветитьPart 3 please
ОтветитьThese two videos have been outstanding. Thank you so much for putting in what I'm sure was a ton of work to format this so eloquently! I've actually been putting this video off cuz I was worried REW was going to be too complex (given all the options it provides), but after finally watching this I don't feel so intimidated anymore :)
ОтветитьI'd absolutely love to see a part 3 on how to use REW in a live venue setting. That's something that will help my church really tune the speakers to the room.
ОтветитьMy REW doesnt have ETC. What is it called now?
ОтветитьI want to see more of the clarity
ОтветитьGreat videos. You def wake up earlier than me sir! Any chance you are going to make that part 3?
ОтветитьFor all the full-range measurements shown, was that using the L+R+Sub playback configuration?
ОтветитьYou use a software called "Room EQ Wizard", so I was waiting for the "Room EQ" to be worked out&applied, but that was never touched on.
May I ask why?
so you can EQ with "APO" ?
As they mention : "is best used in conjunction with Room EQ Wizard"
Thought i would see that point aswell in your video :o
i've spent maybe two weeks looking for info like this. Every other video I found was just as long but with nothing I could use. You are a natural teacher. would love to see more on this. I'm working on a cruise ship and will be headed home to install a ceiling cloud and install a subwoofer. Subwoofer alignment is something I'm trying to figure out ATM. After spending thousands renting studios and literally not touching a single piece of gear and simply using the room itself to make decisions and worked totally in the box I'm determined to get a nice enviroment to work at home. ОтветитьGreat videos! How do I get the circle on the crosshairs? Can’t seem to find the setting 🤷🏼♂️
ОтветитьHey Graham! I hope all is well. I'd love to see a series on setting up a surround sound room. I'm looking to setup a 7.1.4 studio. It would be nice to see the process from that perspective,
ОтветитьHey all! I am currently treating my room and using REW for measurements. I have achieve a super nice low end response using treatment, however I have a MASSIVE (about 30db compared to the average of the rest of the response) dip between 6k and 12k. I can find all sorts of information on low end issues and common fixes for that but I cannot seem to find anywhere where they address high end nulls. Could anyone point me in the direction of a good resource or give me some common tips/things to try to fix this? Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьHoly Moly....this is VERY complete...and kinda scary!! :)
ОтветитьThis is a god damn masterclass.
ОтветитьMac-Win-What? Linux is used in MOST industrial applications, it runs the internet, routers and devices.
Linux also runs MOST non home computer environments . . .
REW is awawsome. I send John a few bucks every time there's an upgrade. He DESERVES it, please do the same..
Thanks, What a ride, still need to measure my studio, this process is worky but hopefully pays itself out!
ОтветитьGood video. (One bit of constructive criticism if I may: you'll get a more pleasing sound out of that SM7 if you let it hear the resonance from your nose and sinus cavities. The sound is rather 'nasal' which, of course, is actually the lack of nasal presence.
ОтветитьYa man keep going! I'm trying to get my PA dialed.. would love to see if there's distortion from amps etc. Chant with me - Part 3! Part 3! Part 3!! :)
ОтветитьCan I get a reverb impluse responese with that?
Ответитьthis is so great! thank you, I really appreciate your work. WOuld definitely like to see a part 3! greetings.
ОтветитьThis is one of the best REW videos out there. amazing!!
Ответитьhello. Quick question: on the RT60 curve. If my floor sound level is 35dB and the measurements have been done at 75dB, the sound will never drop to 15dB (75-60). Am I wrong or did I miss something? thanks
ОтветитьHi There :) .. could somebody help me please? how to put the graphic of 2 measurements together on he same screen to compare the EQ curve? I dont find this option in REW
ОтветитьIn the video you say to do more measurements: left speaker, right speaker and both.
To the left of the REW window, however, I see only two readings: room without acoustic treatment and room with acoustic treatment. Following the measurements when you interpret the data how do you merge the three readings into one reading?
Very helpful 🙏🏻
Thank you, this is great.
Can you show how to (in pt.3):
1. Measure a PA system outdoors?
2. Measure delay between Subs and Tops?
