Comparing High DPI vs Low DPI

HIGH DPI IS BETTER WE WERE WRONG ALL THIS YEARS

An important thing to note regarding his concern over the vertical movement when trying to move the crosshair horizontally. Your hand will have a natural up and down variation in your swipe, the high DPI just shows all the small minor fluctuations. However on average there's no more movement with the high DPI then there is with the low dpi. If you were to try and do a quick 180 flick most likely the high DPI crosshair movement would look something like a sine wave with smooth variations in height. While the low DPI would look more like a step function where it's going flat, jumps up a frame gos flat for a little bit jumps back down a frame so on and so forth. However the amplitude of both would be equal.

i know im 4 years late to this video but if you see this please answer my question. How will this work for trying to convert sensitivities between different games?

im literally an idiot and have spent most of my day figuring out what is means haha. my mouse has a max DPI of 2500. If you're saying having a lower DPI can be a good thing, and many others say they like the 800 range, why do i get told I should get a mouse with a higher dpi? Why should I get a 100 to 18000 DPI mouse if I am going to use around 800 only? I just wish i understood this.. I've never felt like more of an idiot.

This just gives me.a very low unplayable sens with 1000 dpi

my mouse is pretty good so low dpi doesnt really cause pixel skipping it only happens if you have like low dpi and low sens or high dpi and super high sens

The problem is how do you have high dpi while feeling comfortable with using desktop that means using windows overall, is there a way to have high dpi while having comfortable sens as before?

I calculated that my sensitivity is 2250 (1000x2.25), I mostly use only my wrist when i play, and I make full 360° turn when i go from my mouse pad side to side (34cm). Does my calculations sound right?

I use 1200 dpi with 0.5 sens, I think it’s really good for aim

Always some sort of combination of 0.98
However I started using 1100 DPI and I am in love

i have a gaming mouse which at its lowest DPI goes 600 DPI but at its max it goes 4800 DPI

i reccomend multiplying your dpi by ten, then slowing the cursor speed in windows to match your old sens, then divide your ingame sens by ten and youre set

I use a dpi of 2250 and a very low in game sens of 3, and it’s not smooth whatsoever lol seems to be the inverse outcome of what you got (high dpi with low in game sens vs low dpi with high in game sens)

even if you need to be horizontal in cs, its way better to be able to make precise movements for headshots if you are slightly lower or slightly above
