Wait. Isn’t resistance training another example of changing things up for better gains?

"Solid" question....... what do you make of the new controversy in the Keto world...? High fat versus high protein?..... Dr. Ted Naiman's P:E diet?.....

I really think that it is not necessary, to get out of ketosis because "you lose the ability to use carbs". You use and refill glycogen even in a ketogenic state. And as long as you don't skip on intense stuff (heavy weights, sprints, ect). The targeted approach is more useful, in my opinion (for people with multiple more intense training sessions per day or very long, strongly glycolytic sessions and maybe for a small group which has some problems with GNG).

You are too kind.

The problem is that everybody thinks that every keto video applies to themself. For a Type 2 Diabetic, long term obese, or even a Pre-Diabetic with metabolic dysfunction, the suggestion to move back to a high carb diet for two weeks makes no sense.

LPT: If you are newer to keto, follow the Atkins protocol of increasing your carbs up gradually to determine your own "personal carbohydrate threshold" before you move back to any method of carb loading. This is the "slippery slope" that causes so many people to abandon keto or even a LCHF diet. I have read thousands of testimonials over the years from people who regret following the advice to "cycle" carbs before they were physically and emotionally ready.

I feel amazing on keto and feel like garbage when I eat carbs. The carb cycling never works for me. Only creates sugar cravings.
