DREDD - I Am The Law (2012) Karl Urban

i liked this movie but sorry..i prefer stallone's. it was more true to the comic and cool with that cosplay looking overly blocky stuff. It's a comic movie

Reason this movie works is
It's not about dredd,is not about judges
Is just the day in the life of mega city one
Take csi,law & order etc but max it to 10 where it gose to the extreme
Fat people are mega fat,jail is now iso cubes,etc etc
Yes there are still bad judges, corruption,racism etc
Yet despite what people think dredd might be a clone to the founder with his brothers...but he just doing his job with no predustist
He has to work with a mutant but he don't play the racist cop he just hoping she up for the job and if she fails..... that's life as a judge

Cant believe Dredd is played by Karl Urban. Most unexpected actor.
And this movie is a rare example when they take an old classic and play the shit out of it. Even better than the original. Well done.

Karl Urban proved actor can do good performance while wearing a mask/helmet. Better than Sylvester Stallone and Paramount Master Cheeks.

Jesus, you can feel the seething, visceral contempt in every word Dredd utters. Karl Urban's Dredd is terrifying.

Minor complaint, "Judgment Time" sounds a bit juvenile... while "It is time for Judgment" or "It's your time to be Judged" Sounds a bit more appropriate!?

I didn’t know this was Karl urban but I can hear the billy butcher in his voice in this movie. a much calmer version.

This is one of the few times where the reboot is better than the original. I'm a big Sylvester Stallone fan but Karl Urban's Judge Dredd movie was way better.

—The Five Attitudes Military Strategy

 The five attitudes (shoot) are: Standing, Crouching and Lying (on the floor), Right Side and Left Side.

 But while each attitude is subdivided into five, the ultimate purpose (intention) of each is to kill the enemy.

 There are only these five attitudes, or these five subdivisions of the Attitude.

 It is essential to master this principle (Transvaluative Spirit).

FYI: Ulf Suhrmuller is the Art Director on this film, and Krysler's Mark is one of the Judge Dredd comics.

As good as urban was, he didn't quite have the same jaw or skin as Dredd in the comic. Look at him again, in the comics; Dredd is at least 20 years older than Urban, with thick wrinkled skin, with scars too.

All of u r pure haters the 1995 version was way better dont care it wasn't exactly like the comics!

I want some slo- mo and incendiary projectile and may even a hotshot for christmas.

I would have like this scene better if he said “courts in session” instead at the end
