Hello, Dan! Could you, please, tell where is PDC in CAkewalk? I see it in your UI but still cannot find myself....((((
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial. I wish all tutorials were as clear and concise as yours.
Ответитьits notnreading my pad controller
ОтветитьI did not find an answer to my question, maybe u can help me? I am looking for ability to change midi channels using midi controler. What I want to achieve is when making live performances I can quickly change the VST - assuming each VST instrument input is set to different midi channel. Am I thinking right? Or is there other way to do that :) (I am using Cakewalk and do not have MIDI controler/keyboard yet)
Ответитьi dont have a audio interface i have a akai mpd 26 midi controller and my driver share is set to wasapi shared but i asio is an option should leave it on wassapi or change it to asio?
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьI have my guitar working sweet through my interface and using guitar rig as a vst plugin for my effects and tones. So I managed to record some layered melodies and riffs using 4 guitar tracks. My problem is adding and creating drums for my music. I am no drummer so it’s been a nightmare especially since I am trying to use third party plugins that are free or on trial. Long ass story short I found this midi controller for £10 an alesis qx49. It’s great, with standalone software I can set all sorts of piano and drums presets to my piano keys, and in modo I can use the keyboard to play drums. Awesome but as soon as I try do this within cakewalk and using them as plugins, my midi keyboard won’t allow them on a midi track, and I can’t set the track up as an instrument with my midi keyboard to assign the drums plugins. No matter what I do I just get basic electric keyboard sound from cakewalk. I hope to learn how to set it up properly
ОтветитьI enjoy your tutorials, always clear and easy to follow. I have recently intalled the set up for my new keyboard the Nektar LX61. I have followed the download instructions but have yet to make it work in Cakewalk. Is there something I am missing? Thank you in advance
ОтветитьOn the Input selector on a track, also with a Focusrite, are you saying Left is stereo? I generally want to record stereo in, 2 channels, 1&2… I’m not sure how to do that
ОтветитьI get a warning that Cakewalk is not compatable with ASIO now. Had to switch to Waspai shared. Is that still ok?
Ответитьwhy cant u listen to the midi output n how do u record if u cant hear what ur playing?
ОтветитьHi, i need your assistance please. This is in regards to Cakewalk the free version. My issue is: I am trying to get the software to recognize my YAMAHA PSR 36. I t does have midi in and out at the back. Another thing that i have realized is that: in Cakewalk, in Preferences, Audio-Devices-Input Drivers its empty. Then below that at Output, the box is checked and it say Speakers (Realtek High Def...)
At Preferances - MIDI the above is the same only differance is Output which has Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth. Please assist me.
Thanks for this
ОтветитьHi! Thanks for the useful video!
But I have a problem. I use a Minilab 3 and am a very new to Cakewalk. The thing is that everytime I try to use Analog Lab there's this voiceover anytime I move a knob or a fader. It's so loud i cant use it.
I also can't find any enable accessibility option anywhere neither the DAW or the plug in.
ffs I just want to add a midi track to a timeline and hear playback jfc
Ответитьand now the hair has been to bothersome and he shaved it in 2023.
Ответитьwhat if the playback timing master says none?
Ответитьwhy wont my profire 610 work for it it senses the midi usb but not the interface
ОтветитьI got a mackie onyx and downloaded software. restarted computer. device still does not show in cake walk. any ideas?
ОтветитьI want my vst plug-ins audio to come from the keyboard instead of the computer. How can I do that?
ОтветитьI'm having a problem with my MIDI keyboards audio. I've properly hooked up all the cables into my computer, and I am able to record notes and music onto cakewalk. However it doesn't record the instrument/sounds that I have on my keyboard. Does anyone know how to get cake walk to use those instruments or do I have to use the cakewalk plug-ins?
ОтветитьWhat happened to setting it up with Windows drivers which is all I wanted?
ОтветитьI need to connecty Behringer um2,,anybody help
ОтветитьI don't have any input devices other than the basic cakewalk piano midi controller. Will that work for making recordings with audio samples? I can do it with midi tracks.
ОтветитьGood video... I have the Focusrite audio interface as well... love it.
I noticed that when you inserted your vst instrument you hit a key and the meter moved, proving that the data is going to Cakewalk. But I didn't hear any sound. What do you do to actually hear those sounds? What setting do I adjust to hear?
Just starting all a bit confusing. What midi controller can I buy that is good for cakewalk ie pre sets.
Ответитьwhat if im using behringer umc22? how to do it?
ОтветитьWhy wont my audio when play thru my head phones been trying figure it out all day
ОтветитьAnyone who can answer why my midi plugin (mpd226) is responsive in cakewalk, but I don’t have audio? Everything was working fine, I closed and reopened and didn’t tweak my settings but could not get audio back.
ОтветитьI hope someone here can answer my question: Will a Behringer umc22 work with the wasapi host rather than the asio one? Will it effect latency?
ОтветитьHi, I've tried all of this and can't hear any audio in my headphones, what am I doing wrong?
ОтветитьIs there a difference in MIDI cables? You mentioned old school MIDI cables. I just ordered two identical short MIDI cables because mine were given to me from my father and not only are they both different, they are older than the hills of Rome. I was unable to make a connection with these old cables.
Ответитьtop man
ОтветитьWhat do you do after you've followed every step of this video and your midi keyboard still doesn't work?
ОтветитьCan you use an Arturia minilab mk2 on cakewalk? new to the whole process
ОтветитьThank you! You are the best!
ОтветитьI had similar hair in high school. In like 2004.
ОтветитьSorry Newbie here
Can you state what version of Cakewalk your Tutorials apply to.
I'm guessing your using a paid version so your videos do not apply to the free Cakewalk assistant version.
I have a maono interface. I cannot get audio into it though everything looks good on the computer any hints?
ОтветитьHow do I get my focusrite as the output for the midi? I cannot seem to make that the output. Thanks for the videos bro!
ОтветитьDoes anyone know if I can use my usb mic and audio ibterface at the same time?
ОтветитьI'm having a problem with Cakewalk. When I go to record a new track, it records my previous track in addition to the new recording. It works okay when I mute the 1st track, but that's no way to record. PLEASE HELP!!!
ОтветитьThank you so so much for saying about USB mic connection. You've helped me a lot.
ОтветитьI just got the audient id14 mark 1. Cannot get the recording to show up on daw. It shows its working on Id mixer, but not the daw.
ОтветитьI'm just now trying to get into making music (with very little prior knowledge for terminology and all that stuff) and whatnot and don't really have an audio interface. Is it necessary to get one? Especially if you don't directly record audio into Cakewalk/don't make vocals for songs or stuff yourself. If so, would you also need it if you just took audio that has already been recorded by someone else from another source (ig that's sampling or smth, not sure) and more or less imported it into Cakewalk(not necessarily singing either, just generally sounds ig)?
I heard the audio quality increases or smth if you do have one, dunno tho. Does the audio you receive at the end, regardless of whether or not it was recorded audio or some preset instrument, affect the end product? Like, is the final audio file gonna sound different if you made it with an audio interface plugged in?
(Also, could you technically make a "custom instrument" from a single(or a small selection of) sound(s) if you felt like it? That last one isn't really related to the other questions, just curious if or how you could do it in Cakewalk. Or if an entirely different program itself would be required for something like that.)
Oh btw, do you need an audio interface for a midi controller? Or rather, do you need some kinda specific software/hardware or could you technically just plug your electronic keyboard into your computer and just use that(does it affect quality?)? Also, I'm guessing a midi controller isn't absolutely necessary for music production, but rather just makes it way easier (if you know how to play an instrument ig), right?
Kind of off-topic but, would you recommend me to record voices on Mono or Stereo?
and also, is 10.7ms latency ok for recording?
it took me a very long time to figure out what exactly a Focusrite is.. you should not take it dor granted that your audience is as knowledgeable as you are when it comes to this stuff.. you have to explain EVERYTHING in detail for those of us who are absolutely new to this...
im starting from square one- i dont know anything! In a dude who wants to turn some of the lyrics that i wrote into music and all i have is a laptop that somebody gave me...
I love this video. Do you know why i can only hear 1 left side of my headphone when i talk and sing.? How can i fix that problem?
Tks so much
