Don't listen to any of the criticism's. For the general user Chromebooks will do 90 percent of everything you need on a daily basis. Don't waste your time or money on a Mac or a PC. They are too costly, too difficult to use, and are not secure. Everything in ChromeOS is sandboxed meaning there is no such thing as viruses/malware.

0 games that work on chromebooks and all the ones that do are most likely being run by cloud gaming. Why would you buy a ChromeBook? Same exact price as a windows 10 or 11 PC that can do a ton more. The reason nobody ports apps or games to Chromebooks is because its impossible due to file types. These pieces of junk cannot run exe files.

There are a LOT of people who ridicule chromebooks. Bet these people havent even used these.
Lot of these guys have ridiculed chromebooks for video editong and offline apps What people dont understand is firstly, these are misconceptions and these WERE problems in early day chromebooks. But these days chromebooks can be used for coding, android development and other purposes provided you have a 8GB RAM and Intel i3/ARM mediatek processors! And not the celerons.
I hope chromebooks gain more audience, and hopefully google further improve chromebooks to a whole new level.

Did you know? ChromeOS is not all made by google. It has parts of Gentoo built into it.

The one problem, it can’t run Exe applications. Exe is the core of a computer, made before the internet. You cannot rip away a core component that was an essential back in the 70s and replace a still new internet with a ram hungry browser. My laptop is 1k and yet it lags on the most basic of 3d software.

This description of a Chromebook came across as very condescending, no? It seems that they're primarily targeted at a demographic perhaps aged between 18 and 40 (or 45) that still live with Mom and Dad, need to wind down after a "very hard" day and eat quiche.
