What the hell happened after bf1….especially snow maps on bf5/2042 destruction looks so fucking horrific its unplayable.

I gotta say, as bad as 2042 was, the destruction and huge chunks are pretty nice and feels more... natural? I just wish they expanded that throughout the entire game...

BF1 wins for the ambience and descrutibility, BF V wins for gameplay.

1) I love so much this comparison with Physics.
2) I think BF1 is the Best on that sector.

When you have them side by side you realise how woeful 2042 destruction is.

Problem is they could really improve destruction physics since they were still making all of these games for last gen

So I keep switching between BF's and still can't believe what the dev's were thinking with BF 2042. It is such a leap backwards in so many ways graphically. I'm baffled. The realism and ambiance in BF1 and 5 is so amazing. They feel like a proper battlefield. I enjoy playing them every time. BF 2042 looks and feels blend, boring and soulless in comparison. Almost like a ps3 game but with 4k visuals. Hope the next installment will be a return to form.

The problem with destruction in 2042 aren't the physics or mechanics at all, it hust doesn't have much that is actually destructive but th stuff that IS destructive looks really good when you break it

I enjoy 2042, its def not a battlefield game. I dont find myself just doing mindless stuff with the maps like i did in BF1, 5 or even 4. I cant casually run around and see what blows up cool because majority of it doesnt even blow up lol, its a big cloud effect and then some debre

2042 destruction actually looks amazing and so do the graphics but sadly the movement was way more fluid in the other two bf games

can we please get a fcking bad company 3. BF3/4 took the cake and everything else is cookie cutter since. I mean BF1,5, and 2042 are cool but they don't feel immersive in my opinion.

Bd 1 looks way more relastic of course we got those funny parts thst slide for no reason but looking at houses for example they fall in way slower wnd not as fast as in bf5 there everything goes missing after a little time
And in 42 they look like they get sestroyed by script if they get destroyed by xamounts of hp they turn into the other form

BF1 had the best, it was awesome seeing the map turn from untouched to looking like No Man's Land with all the craters.

If you're going to show BF2042 destruction at least use 2042 maps not the BF bad company maps!

Wow. I didn't realize the newer Battlefields had such advanced terrain and structure destruction. Most FPS and action games should have destructible elements like this!
