Unboxing what Visa-free travel to Kenya means 😅. This name is totally misleading.. Matters on the ground is that one has to actually apply for an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) online - This is equivalent to visa on arrival fee, for $35, 72hrs prior to travel and depending on the information you fill, you may be denied entry to Kenya 🇰🇪 or they may request additional information like provision of your bank statement 😮 remember the government has already factored in and budgetted that you will be in Kenya for 3 months to spend not less than ksh 500,000 😅😅😅😅 never-ending saga 😂😂

The evisa is 51 dollars and not 30!!! Plus that doesn't mean entry is visa free, do correct reporting, one needs evisa yo stop misleading people saying visa free?

How about if one already holds a visa issued prior to the change in policy? For instance if one has an e-visa approved in january 2022 for 5 years? Any ideas on how such is handled?

It will cost you $30 USD and the process is the same as getting the old eVisa..."visa free" just means the name was changed from eVisa to eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization)...note they are not saying "No-Fee" travel to Kenya...nothing but a dog and pony show! It looks good for the cameras!

Is there a time limit of the stay and limitations such as owning business, buying land or working or it’s just for visit purpose. Doesn’t make sense to have open border without restrictions due to security and countries needs to protect itself from harm and unwanted visitors, terrorists etc. How does the Kenya government monitor the visitors departure after visit, so many questions with no answers.

I may not support ruto regime but this is a good move. Kenya is short of dollars and these visitors will fly in with some that will get into circulation.
