The whole "no bra, no panties" chant is a way for Tracy to overtly tell her mom, Mel, that she is not a little girl anymore and that she can do whatever she wants with whomever she wants be they a boy, a girl, a man, or a woman. It is Tracy's way of establishing any sort of autonomy as a teenage girl who has a mind and body of her own and does not want Mel to perceive her as nothing more than her little safety blanket when situations regarding her homemade business go awry as well as a wing-woman for Brady. Furthermore, the "no bra, no panties" chant encapsulates Tracy as a vitriolic force who cannot and will not be contained by anybody regardless of that person being her parent, her friend, or her romantic partner. However, it can all go south if she is not careful because once she tries using that chant on other people, especially the unscrupulous scumbags who dare take advantage of her youth and vivacity in the worst possible way, any unscrupulous lowlife can have their way with her, sexually exploit her, and reduce her to nothing more than damaged goods. The consequence is that, once any lowlife is done and dusted with Tracy, she will have nobody to console let alone take pity on her until it is too late.

I would not allow a kid to act that way in my home so she would have been kicked out right after I slapped her disrespectful mouth. And people would say that a slap would not have helped but it doesn't matter because she wouldn't be welcome back into my home until she treats me the way I treat her and I don't talk to her like that.
