Looks delicious - it made me think of Barrel Armida, which, if you have not tried yet is a super delicious finished bourbon. You should consider giving it a pour.
ОтветитьThe Bull!!
ОтветитьDirty Pear
Ответить‘The Big Pear” as the name.
ОтветитьMade a pair of your standard Manhattan’s tonight for me and my wife utilizing some Wild Turkey 101 Rye. Have to find some of your bitters you suggested but wanted to thank you for the recipe
ОтветитьThai should be called”The Manhattan Basement”
ОтветитьWhat are some go to bourbons for Manhattans if you don't have any rye on hand?
Ответитьjust a question, and I don't know if its been asked little off subject but what does SLB stand for?? lol
ОтветитьGreat entry to the challenge Kurt!
How about 'Prickly Pear' for the name? Referencing the spiciness from the rye and the pear liqueur...
Hey Kurt, have you tried Jim Beam Red Stag? They call it the lazy man's Manhattan. No Mix, just straight up on ice & add a cherry. Not bad!
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьAwesome video
ОтветитьKurt - you missed the last element of a challenge - you were supposed to pass it onto another channel! :)
ОтветитьThe easiest drink for a NYer to remember is a Manhattan.
Classic formula is 2 1 2 ...which is the NYC telephone area code
2 parts Rye
1 part Sweet Vermouth
2 dashes Angustora bitters
Luxardo cherries are the best..I drip in a bit of the liquid from the jar in my Manhattans
My father comes from the original town where Luxardo is from...Zara
Loo-Shar-do is the correct pronunciation
Love your channel!!
sounds and looks like a great manhattan. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
ОтветитьQuestion: if someone were to buy allocated whiskey on the internet paying secondary; which site(s) would you recommend?
ОтветитьMy preference is for a "perfect Manhattan." Would enjoy your comment.
ОтветитьFunny watching Kurt with a little buzz going
ОтветитьWillett rye is very good on drinks
ОтветитьCall it the "Upper East side Manhattan!!"

ОтветитьThe SLB Manhattan!
ОтветитьThis was my first drink on my 21st bday, ordered for me by my father. So so good! Cant wait to try yours!
ОтветитьI make a good Manhattan, but here in KC, Martin City Brewery does a barrel aged Manhattan that is to die for
ОтветитьIt could be a "5th Avenue" Manhattan Love your channel!
ОтветитьI thought I post to this a few months back. Maybe I am mistaking the intent for having actually done. My own version I call the Seattle. Which is odd, I hate Seattle. Anyway, ideally one would use a Washington Whiskey. I prefer Oola Bourbon or Woodinville Rye or Bourbon. In stead of sweet vermouth, I use blackberry brandy - .5 - 1 oz to taste. Garnish with a blackberry and lemon peel skewer.
ОтветитьThe SLBSPM or the big pear Manhattan instead of the big apple

ОтветитьManhattan Subway or the Lower Manhattan...regardless the name, they both sound great...will try when I can gather the ingredients...many thanks...
Ответить"they last a while" is Dad speak for "they're lasting a while, right?"
ОтветитьYes!!
ОтветитьThen it's a twist on a Manhattan
ОтветитьWhat? 100 proof? What's that? Explainn

ОтветитьSweett vormul
ОтветитьIt's achole on achole
ОтветитьGetter done
ОтветитьLooks great 😃
ОтветитьWow 😲
ОтветитьWhiskeyyy
ОтветитьCould you use any Amaro? the twist off bothers me haha wondering if you could recommend another one or if this is the one I should absolutely go with? thanks!
ОтветитьI use Old Forester Rye, it's 100 proof and about half the price. It's pretty much become my go to for rye based cocktails. For the vermouth I've used cocchi and it's excellent, but lately I've been leaning towards Carpano Antica. The only (minor) quibble I would have is the addition of the syrup. To me it drives the drink over the sweetness line. The excess cherry syrup from the garnish gives the drink all the extra sweet notes it needs. But as they say, drink what makes you happy, cheers!
Ответитьinteresting make up to your Manhattans! I've kept mine pretty sedate so far - 2 oz Old Overholt BIB, 1 oz Dolin Vermouth De Chambery Rouge, 2 dashes Angostura Bitters, 1 dash Angostura Orange bitters, 1 Tillen Farms Bada Bing Cherry. Yum.
ОтветитьI just tried this recipe tonight and it might be the BEST Manhatten recipe I've ever had. Wow! Bravo SLB!
ОтветитьSpice wood Manhattan 🪵
ОтветитьJust made this first original slb manhattan recipe. Super good. Crazy enough it tastes like pumpkin pie!
ОтветитьI'd like to see you attach a written version of your drink recipes. It's awfully hard to play and pause while trying to write.
