Directions (Short Comedy Sketch)

If someone gave me directions like that I would give them a foot up the ass!

I'm going that way! Just follow me and turn right a half mile before I go in my driveway.
Turn right at the Old Otis Cafe. The bear left where the old mill used to stand.

This is more irritating than funny! 😐

You want directions ask the pizza delivery driver. They not only know where everything is, but the fastest way to get there.

I have friends who give directions almost exactly like this. It's not even a hyperbole! xD

"Walk down the main road for a bit, then up the street that goes high and leftish, it's where the bus is always go, then turn up the roundabout and you'll soon be at my place."

I love this line due to how it's almost made as vague as possible.

Which one is the main road? Do I turn left or right? How do I know if the road is high -leftish enough? Are there really going to be enough buses for me to know? I assume that road must be crowded with buses if you were to give it as part of the instructions.
Then where do I turn it around about? It's a roundabout, so it's not off the tables that I might even want to go straight on it. But do I turn left or right? Or do I go straight?
And then I'll soon be at your place? What does your house look like?

I was once given directions by my uncle. Go down the road to the T intersection turn south and then take the best road and you'll end up at the number 1 highway. It worked. But it was such a country way of giving directions. My brother and I were skeptical.

"Turn around when possible". I was on a one-way road, with no turn offs in sight.

These sound like customer instructions when I'm doing Doordash.

I had to pick up a date at her apartment. The directions she gives me include, "Turn right on the second road after you enter the city. I see the city limits sign, turn right on the second road following, and boom . . . no apartment buildings in sight. I return, take the next road, no apartments in sight. I turn around, go back home, and call her. After a good ten minutes of trying to figure out what's wrong, we hit upon the problem: When she said "After you enter the city" she meant "after you cross the railroad tracks that mark the unofficial start of the small downtown area" not the city limits sign. I confirm, second road after the railroad tracks.

So I go back, turn on the second road after the railroad tracks and . . . no apartment house, let alone the three or four in a row she referred to. I turn around and go home, call her to tell her I can' t find her place and cancel. We reset the date for the next night, and agree to meet at the convenience store at the edge of town. We're returning later and I ask her to tell me where to turn. It is, in fact, the third right after the railroad tracks, which is the sixth one after entering the city limits. As we're passing the first road after the railroad tracks, I start counting, and she says of the first road, "Oh, that doesn't go anywhere, so we don't count that one." It was the railroad maintenance access road.

We didn't go on a second date.

The ending was perfect!

i'm glad he didn't encounter any left angles, that would have been disasterous.
