Don't Buy the S22 Plus: 5 Months Later & Still Terrible.

S22+ is still trash in September of 2023. Don't buy it. The camera is the only good thing about this phone. Otherwise a massive downgrade from my S10 and wildly overpriced. It easily overheats since they took the cooling system out for the extra camera lens. The keyboard delay is so bad I have to slow down to not write jibberish, it takes a full 5 minutes to start up and constantly "optimize the one UI" - which seems to do no optimizing, the storage for pics is nothing without space for an SD card...I could go on forever. I've been a Samsung customer for over a decade but this is probably it. If you get it don't pay more than $300 for it.

I've most likely commented on this video before i really should not have any comment this device the S22+ was pretty much a trade that was offered to me for my S20+ the only thing is that if only I could have held out for the S23 lineup like S23 ultra or S23+ it's not practical to pay off my device ! Keep up the great work man!

I was going to get this as it had £200 discount but I saw the s21fe for even cheaper strange thing even though it was brand new it came with ONE UI 5.1 and android 13 out of the box?? And I checked the manufacturing date 4th of April 2023

Its 2023 and the S22 Plus is $400 cheaper than the newly launched S23 Plus(in my region), and suddenly S22 Plus makes a lot of sense. I picked it up at $599 today. Pixel 7 has the same price but I need a great versatile camera set up with the telephoto lens.

Just the video I wanted to see after buying the S22+ yesterday! I only paid 500€ for brand new so I guess that’s a relief. I probably won’t keep it and go back to iPhone 13 Pro Max. Just trying Android after a few years.

Dude, you're on an island here. It's widely regarded as the better option over the Ultra. Unless you have to have 10x telephoto. Most ppl prefer a flat panel for media. The speakers are still excellent and the battery gets me thru a day. Plus it's so much lighter than the Ultra, which is like carrying a brick. You're really looking at this phone thru the wrong prism. It has all the features I want from the ultra without the annoying curved display and heavy weight. Period.

I don't know.. After 6 months I will say I use the s22 plus way more than my s22 ultra or pixel 7 pro.

The battery power is miles better on s22+ and performs wayyy better then an s21FE

Good insight about the phone. If I consider this phone I will definitely limit what I pay for it. I appreciate what you're saying about it and with regards to screen resolution and features versus the ultra however I will never buy a cell phone with curved Edge screen.

I owned the pixel 7 pro for 24 hours and it was an awful experience visually. it's a personal preference thing but I cannot get past looking at what should be a flat image and seeing the curved edge of the picture not only is it distorted but in numerous situations there is a line of light reflecting off of that curved Edge either the top or the bottom and that alone was the reason I packed it up and sent it back. So the ultra and any other phone with a curved Edge screen is not an option for me that's why I'm considering the s22 plus.

But I'm glad I watched your video because it definitely reminded me that I should not pay full price for it and only get it if it's on a killer sale of course you'll probably argue that I should get another phone on sale but my criteria is I need a phone that has a flat screen an optical zoom and good battery life and affordable (!)... there aren't many out there. My other option is to not get a new current phone and actually get an s20 fe5g for now. Anyways...good video about the context of the s22+ its price and its features vs others but it's flat screens only for me here on out.

Its also same as Iphone Pro model wheter its pro max or pro. I fcking hate the dynamic island. I play alot of games like competitive-ly on phone. The best iphone to play games is still XS MAX, because the design is curved which a really nice feel to touch. 13 PM 14 PM sure its not bad but it cant really beat the old ways of iphone which is 6 one.

The author of this video is absolutely right, this is not 1000 dollar phone. It's mediocre and the screen is really bad, as you can see a separate dots (resolution is just full HD). I did buy this phone this year and sold it after couple of months as I was comparing it to my p40 pro. ALSO, s22 plus's picture quality is not as good. Front camera is VARY BAD, low light photos are also very bad. So please, do not buy this phone for 1000 dollars, wait till it will cost max 400 dollars.

Very good technical analysis, but you are forgetting people are not buying devices merely for the tech specs.

so pay 20% more for a better camera. Batteries are always bigger on a bigger phone. Curved is an opinion. 99% of the phone is the same.

Battery life sucks! I'm using s22+, extremely disappointed, being this expensive. I'm not a heavy user I never had problems with battery life. S22+ is definitely worse that Samsung A73 (tested A73 for several months)

i would choose s22 plus over any phone in the world, why? its square flat edges that feels like the iphone and its big screen compared to s22 with the same edges, you have NO idea how my heart skipped a beat when i touched that phone for the first time, im like ooohhh yeaaah im finally not obligated to get an iphone to feel this.

I got it for 200 bucks 😭😭😭 I literally broke my s20 on purpose I was mad and smashed it to bits n got a trade in deal for $800 for my broken phone from AT&T I mean it was trashed. I can't complain this is a nice phone definitely not worth a $1000

I traded my s9+ and got $350 the s22+ ended up costing me 650, was it it worth it or should I send it back?

I have an old Samsung tablet that came with an S-Pen. I found it to be useless 99.9% of the time for my needs. Maybe someone else uses it to sign stuff or diddle-doodle but I don't need it on my phone.

Don't say it doesn't have curved edges like it's advantage. It's straight up not I prefer a flat screen
