What Happened To C+C Music Factory? | The Lip Syncing Scandal They Tried To Keep Quiet

Thank you listing the intro music reference. Although it sounds very similar to a female singer that I can't quiet put my finger on. Because I like it and heard it a few times on the radio but the announcers do not give a name.

CC and Milli Vanilli started a trend that pop musicians follow to this day, lip syncing and faking it. I guess that makes them pioneers of modern pop.

If you make a deep search you will find out that most Eurodance singers weren’t the real singer, just like Boney M and Milly Vanilly.

rhythm of music and movement are highest intelligent energy, these are not fixed energy . somehow for us to shakes or moves the body to dance mode. these rhythm and movements are self presence of own, not fixed like painting art or drawing art or dance art. rhythm helps movements for harmony ,soft , and gentle. ppl speaks different languages but under the rhythm and movements we speaks one blend in smile language. the music helping us stay pleasant mode . just get alone with music not with personal story for judging, no matter which way these music are born we are pleased by. pretty much only few languages will survive for us to communicate for easy and simpler understanding of each other as harmonious friendships of movements n rhythm in music

Even before the lip synching scandal it never felt like C+C Music Factory would last. They felt very of the their time and nothing special.

Some people have a good voice but not a good look.

I remember back in 91-92 we used to drive our parents crazy screaming "EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!" just randomly and loudly.

That's the music bizz! Wise up or shut up. Plain and simple but really messed up.

BTW if you listen to the Album Version of "Things That Make You Go Hmmm" you can DISTINCTLY hear Martha Wash. But the Video Version they either turned down her vocals (you can hear her voice near the end of the video) or they Re-Recorded the VOCAL track with Zelma Davis.

Honesty is always the best... At least credit your artists... This was the wild west day's of music samples people stole everyone music... Mrs Martha is no background artist

🍇 When ppl speak of these sort of groups they like to mention Martha wash and I get it..... but these groups are much more than hiding Martha cause she was fat........these groups and Producers were good.......and are about the Producers and that dance culture........... everyone had eyes and could see they and the ppl in the videos weren't singing.....no one cared except the media.........hence it was call music factory....... Martha can sing always....... but this group is much more than Martha wash........same with Black Box..

Unknown artist? Martha Washington had already had number one hits with the weather girls it’s raining men. Plus her work with two tons of fun and Sylvester. She was already an icon in the music industry.

Martha is extremely exploited. She is super disrespected underappreciated and very talented. Her voice is strong and iconic. The industry is demonic and I'm glad Martha fought for what's hers.

Zelma got unfairly swept up in that whole mess. She legit sang on the rest of the album and has a great voice. The rest of them screwed Martha Wash, who is a phenomenal singer.

The Martha Wash lawsuits are credited as the catalyst for legislation making vocal credits mandatory on vids and cds. C+C were cockroaches. Freedom is a joke.

: C+C Music Factory was a train wreck from the start! Martha Wash's vocals garnered the group its success. Trying to undermine Martha and exploit her vocals didn’t end well for the group. [And] Let's be real... The group brought Martha Wash in on the 2nd project (1994) because after the 1st debacle, she recorded a solo album (1993) with 3 top 10 Dance hits on it [two of those hits were #1 on the Billboard charts - 'Carry On' & 'Give it to You']. So, they really needed Martha again; and her presence helped a bit, but the damage was already done. When they failed Martha Wash the 1st time, it was downhill from there. Then, when C+C Music Factory was crumbling, Martha Wash came back with another #1 Dance single ['Catch the Light'; 1998]. They could have all won with Martha Wash getting her full credit, visibility, & respect. She kept going, though; and continued being successful [while everbody else in the group faded from existence]! 🤷🏾‍♂️

I loved CC Music factory but it's completely f**ked up that Milli Vanilli get absolutely cruxifed, shamed and thrown to the wolves! But these guys and put album after album with a model lipsycing that we all new was to perfect looking to have a voice like that and it's all cool minor lawsuit but no Title stripping or shame 😡 yep total bullspit!!!!!
