when I was in the US army as a combat medic I would make these medic bags that were small, precise and visually organized, so anyone can pick it up and deploy it in any high pressure situation. Balancing surgical kits, iFAKs and chest rigs were like a game of "who's first" when assessing possible injuries for a mission.

In all seriousness I actually do have a kit that I carry and it is a small tin with, what I think would be very helpful in a emergency!… although it’s decidedly not trauma related. Again loves ❤the whole video!…Thank you for your time.
Ps you should include a small straw is cut in half! you never know when a emergency tracheotomy may be necessary!!😊Just a thought…..

Are you sure your a doctor? your handwriting is too legible.

Would there be value in scaling up, say to the size of a pencil case (if those are made nowadays) or something still easily portable? Would having additional room change your decisions of what to include, or how much to include?

What about a pair of folding scissors if that's the part of the Swiss Army Knife you want?

Also, a few styles of scissors can be included in a bugout bag in general along with fire starters. Though wet -strike matches can be quicker.

In a bug-out bag, several methods of fire starters can be kept along with small candles and tinder. Maybe a dry stick, too.

I really appreciate your gentle demeanour - very different from what I think of when I think "surgeon". ...I'm sorry, I mean that in the nicest way, but I have known some weird scalpel jockeys in my day! And I came here from the "surgeon reacts [to Dr.G]" video, suggested to me after I watched a slew of his - loved that one too! - so my mind is still in "irreverent mode". And, of course... How are you going to light the match without a striking pad?

That looks like the tornequet that came in my first aid kit. Glad to know what it's for. Don't forget to add a striking surface for the matches. I know you don't want to need them but it's still better to have them.
