ОтветитьWhat most people don't understand is SIMPLE ECONOMICS....
The RECYCLING in this case is TO BENEFIT THE MAN.... he is utilizing the skills he has to EARN HONEST WAGE, and in the process of being SELFISH he is benefiting the recycling demands of others...
recycling should be only done when it's economical....
Ingenious workmanship and a perfect manufactured solution for restoring hard-to-find and hard-to-buy parts.
Due to the number of pieces to be restored, this work already deserved an online environment, with each person doing a part of the work. Serial production would be very profitable.
This technique of scrubbing the lens isn't even allowed in Germany. Obviously, that is the scheme to force the owners to buy the new headlamps at exorbitant price. In the past, the owners could simply detach the glass lens from the housing by removing the anchoring clips for cleaning. Now, they are glued together, requiring extra elbow grease to remove them and such. Glad to see that the headlamps are restored instead of tossed in the bin (good for environment).
ОтветитьVery nice 🙂

ОтветитьI do headlamp restoration for so many years. I can guarantee that the man is doing it the wrong way. Very very wrong.
1st - you don't have to tear it apart.
2nd - his restoration won't last even a month. It will start to faded again. This is only a temporary solution. You will spent more money to maintain it this way in a long run. Its just a scam, it wont last shiny and you will need to keep on coming to their shop to clean your headlamp. They get more money.
Correct way.
- sand paper (600grit then to 1000grit) the outer layer until you remove all the yellowish thingy. Pour water on it. If it is crystal clear, you don't have to tear it apart. 99 out of 100, the yellowish is on the outer part of the headlamp and not inside.
- spray head lamp protection spray. It will last forever and the headlamp will never become yellowish again. The spray is as cheap as the polisher they were using to polish the headlamp. You can find it at any car painting shop.
True recycling...
