ОтветитьWhere u come from? Your accent hears like Germany.
Ответитьhear me out:
Loners but just start in rostok 🤨
Hmm, i started a Duty Playthrough recently and i was almost immediately reminded why i always play loners. As much as i dislike Freedom, i actually really depended on reliable missions in army Warehouse and Red Forest they give.
ОтветитьI've just started my first playthrough in vanilla Anomaly on easy difficulty, and then switched to Duty for ideological reasons, you know, destroy the Zone. They've got access to a unique rifle - AN-94 (as well as the Loners), that shoots two-round bursts, excellent for mid-long distance engagements. Duty's medium armor is neat, too. The most difficult part was leading the Military stalkers inside the Zone, because you have to avoid the Loners, as they start shooting those soldiers, who follow you.
ОтветитьFor a starter Duty looks pretty good. I always play main story as Clear Sky, because I like to do main story combined with Clear Sky main quest and Artifact hunters story line so most of main quests come in same locations and you can make a big raid before run back to swamps. But after radar mission going back to base to repair and make some crafting become… Time consuming.
But going duty gives you all the benefits to play 5 main quests at the same time (this faction quests where you visit allies and do quests for them, CS quest, Military quests, main quest and artifact hunters). But more you go north and less places for you to be safe: scientist bunker at Jupiter and Skadovsk in satin are good, but around you just too much enemies like monolith, mercs, bandits and freedom. And in Pripyat outskirts mechanic is from freedom so no buying tools in Pripyat. So my opinion that start with duty is pretty good, but after game progresses forward you getting less options then freedom or mercs.
If I like to shoot a lot (and duty got dat a lot) then I’ll go merc or freedom run
I love my clear sky
ОтветитьThe most conservative furry .
ОтветитьYou can not take a guide to jupiter it's a freedom base. So unless u defeat brain scorch you are softlocked to South areas only. I thought it would not be as bad but it is terrible to start as duty ngl, thinking on changing factions rn.
ОтветитьDuty armor was nerfed sadly and now offers measley 5% rad protection. I couldnt even go to wild territory until i found a really good gas mask because radiation was killing me
ОтветитьJoin duty and save the innocent!
ОтветитьWhat's the point about 556 Weapons, i remember 556 to be around 20-25% more expensive than 545 and less penetration too.
ОтветитьDuty’s for cowards who fear the zone be a merc so you can get attacked nonstop by loners almost everywhere you go
ОтветитьDuty is a bit of a trap IMO.
For the early game and the south, amassing wealth and disabling the miracle machine theyr'e great. Anything north of red forest and radar they have virtually no presence, everything north is mercs, freedom and monolith with the occasional loner.
Late game, duty is hard AF you have no allies past rostok.
I always try and cross the trench athe the cordon to rostok entrance to avoid the FF issue provided theres no anomalys that have spawned in the trench and i have decent rad protection.
also theres alot of anomilus hanging grass around rostok so new people playing as or coming through the place should be cearfull.
Bonus tip, you can get behind the guy in the bar and build your base in the barkeep’s office. It’s nice and cozy, without holes in the roof and people walking in your base. You have a couple of rooms and the barkeep lives with you, which makes dumping junk easy.
To get behind the guy just place 2 chairs on HIS right side. You can jump on the chain and crouch jump over his shoulder. It gets easy once you figure out how the hitboxes mesh.
I usually start as a loner in rostok, do few arena fights, go to rookie village for story missions, back to rostok and grind easy missions for rep, gear up and get rich while doing that, go to army warehouse and do the same for nato gear, spend 300k on AP for whatever I'm using, proceed to brain scorcher, rage quit and stop playing for a year until a shiny new update drops, rinse and repeat lol
ОтветитьDooty mainly consists of former military- and policeman
And if you know anything about cops of post-soviet countries you know they are corrupt and full of shit
THEY CANT EVEN KILL A BUNCH OF DOGS IN FRONT OF THEIR BASE ENTRANCE THEMSELVES HOLY FUCK
PROPAGANDA START AS BANDIT BLYAT
Ответитьaverage dooty fan
ОтветитьI wouldn't recommend to use Navigator to lead u into yanov, it will spawn you right in freedom base
ОтветитьAs for the dogs near the entrance, just shoot a few shots toward their location and their AI will trigger which often send them charging toward the Duty members
ОтветитьWhen i do duty i go to the military base and explode soldires for warsawpact weapons redbarells are great.
ОтветитьPs5-mt is too overpowered in my opinion, I think it should be replaced with a heavy overcoat option instead
ОтветитьOnly thing is that I think the duty base layout is absolutely atrocious. So many areas that are close together but require you running all the way around multiple buildings just to reach an npc that was technically 10 ft away with a door to him that’s sealed off for no reason so you gotta run all the way around. The whole base just feels like that and it’s so annoying. Having said that, I have a 300+ hr duty playthru going and I’m about to tackle Chernobyl! Duty is pretty sweet
ОтветитьHaving played as Loners and even Duty before, I always start as a Clear Sky now. Just a personal preference I guess. Great Swamp is so secluded and feels like you are an outsider trying to smuggle your way around to the zone slowly. I no longer play to finish story missions anymore, usually just to feel the zone and its minimalist yet harsh beauty. And I never upgrade my kits beyond the point where the zone feels easy and danger free. If there is no fear when I step outside, it's no longer zone to me haha.
Btw, agree on Duty being the most all rounded faction in the game in terms of gameplay and placement of the Base.
i refuse to associate with these red and black cross dressing virgins
ОтветитьMercs are pretty interesting imo, early game is very hard due to the fact that approaching both Yantar and Limansk from Dead City gets your brain fried due to lack of Psi-helmet in the beginning, forcing you to go through Red Forest, you are also at war with loners
But it gets easier after you disable the brain scorcher which triggers a ceasefire between Mercs and Loners, which means the only people who are gonna be shooting at you are Fanatics, Renegades, Military and Dutyers which are usually localised factions that can be easily avoided
I thought it might be a me issue, but GAMMA just seems so dark. I have to get my screen brightness to 100% for it to be playable or I don't see s**t....
ОтветитьAlright, you convinced me. When I get used to gamma, I'll choose Duty for the invictus game.
ОтветитьYou have a fuckload of stalkers from basically all friendly factions to take a lot of quests
Central, and very very well-placed base
Actually a safe-zone base, NEVER had any threat inside of Rostok on hundreds of my runs
Very cheap fast travel to a ton of useful if not neccesary places. Jupiter being the best one
All important NPCs within a minute of walking
Plenty places to make a hideout
You can get up to 2 "destroy the mutants" quests in first 5 minutes if you're lucky, overall they get completed without intervention 60% of the time, easy money easy rep
Arena, as you said
And Strelok's squad even respects you, fuck the rest, THAT matters lol
Kinda seems like the majority of benefits for picking Duty is the fact that you start in Rostok. Start as a Loner instead and pick Rostok as your starting location, that way you get all the bonuses of starting as Duty (minus the armor, although the sunrise armour you get as a Loner is perfectly serviceable) and none of the hindrances. Makes exploring Army Warehouses way easier too since Freedom won't shoot you, and you can still get NATO gear from mercs.
Ответитьwhy not just start as a loner in rostok? then you can access army warehouses much easier
ОтветитьMonolith > Wish Granter > IMMORTALITY BAAAAABBBEEEEE
ALL HAIL ZE MONOLITH
Nah, I don't like duty. They are kind of military with neutral relationship with loners and ecologists and in terms of logistics at northern territory, they are suck. I even like military faction more than duty.
ОтветитьIn duty base, you don't have to worry about the hit squad. But remember at night there's a lot of mutant in the garbage entrance and the way army warehouse. Sometime a pack of bloodsucker, other time is a pack of psy-sucker. Even the pseudogiant has chance to spawn in there.
ОтветитьDuty is definitely top tier choice, especially for 'min-maxing' focused players. It's also just a fun, powerful faction to try starting as if you (like me) prefer a Loner that later joins a different faction. But GAMMA is a modpack that really makes it extra interesting to start out weaker-than-average, so the min-maxing players oughta go for a non-Duty run at least once just to experience the fullblown 'hobo'-stage, in my opinion.
ОтветитьFreedom is better
Instead of being part of Duty, do your duty of getting some bitches
(Jk obvioustly)
I playing duty from ''Call of cernobyl'' mod times. Also recommended duty, for beginers becouse u will be neutral with military in early maps+get good reward from military for documents in x18/16. Just dont go to army warehouses, in begining and dont do Storm the base sidequests. Just simple side quest in garbage, then in Cordon, then swamps-start main story, then in Agropom, then in dark walley... and you will be rady wild teritory/yantar. And after that Army warehouses and radar... tadam! mid game:)
ОтветитьVery useful information: But you can start as Loner in Rostock aswell... i made myself a duty medium armour as Bandit and never got blown my disguise. For me its personaly choice i dont like Duty ideas ^^#
ОтветитьFREEEEDOM!!! DX<
ОтветитьThe Ext. Radiation Res. is not 28% anymore, I've checked this armor out in game, only has 5%. Everything else is unchanged.
ОтветитьThese are all good points, but freedom and their shenanigans/lore will forever have a special place in my heart.
ОтветитьI would recommend merc or Freedom for experienced players. For new players loners or clear sky.
ОтветитьFirst time seeing a furry playing stalker
Ответитьmy dude should I go for duty or merc ?
