What a mistake by Norton !!!

There were many people that Ali fought multiple times after defeating them the first time. A couple of them he fought 3 times winning all 3. I believe Frazier is the only one that fought George a second time. Seems after fighting Foreman people were not trying to get back in the ring with him. Including Ali. The condition Ali put on a rematch was to tell Foreman what trainer he had to use for the fight. When does a fighter tell the other fighter who their trainer has to be? The trainer Ali was saying Foreman had to use was the one he had in his loss to Ali. Ali knew that would never happen so he effectively dodged Foreman for any rematch he knew he would likely lose. Foreman won more fights by far and had more knockouts by far compared to Ali. Not implying Ali wasn't a great fighter, he just wasn't as great as the hype and he wanted no part of rolling the dice against Foreman a second time.

No wonder that Ali danced around his opponents. Most of the overrated 70s heavyweight boxers were slow as hell. Only 60s Sonny Liston was worse. Foreman looked like a streetbrawler that threw haymaker most of the time and the technical better Ken Norton didn't find a way to show his skills. Only slow and stiff Sonny Liston was worse than George. Big and strong but well... Ali and Larry Holmes were the better boxers those days for a reason.

After watching this fight who would have the nerve to denigrate George Foreman? Only one in the world who would was Ali and more amazing is 6 months later he backed up his words. He wasn’t lying when he said he was the greatest.

I love when announcers make that call "NORTON DOESN'T KNOW WHERE HE IS!" I think Frazier also didn't know where he was when Foreman hit him. I have a feeling there was never a fight where the announcer said "Ali doesn't know where he is!"
