Who is "They" and why don't they want you to know? Are gardeners conspiracists? Like your video otherwise.

If you make your own compost, you can save the $$$$$ you spent on the boughten soil for that raised bed.

Making compost is not rocket science or as complicated as many tell you.

Comfrey does amazingly well in Colorado's variable climate. I wouldn't plant it near other plants. It seems to suck up the soil nutrients and deprive the plants near to it. That's my observation from trying to grow Bur Oak seedlings in the same plot. The seedlings furthest from the comfrey are the tallest and most robust. Also, you want the Boking variety that spreads by root alone. Otherwise it can take over your yard. Even the Boking tends to put up shoots where you might not want them. I planted a row next to the greenhouse so the plants would shade the vegies from the hot intense sun. Now I have comfrey sprouts coming up inside the greenhouse.

These are some great inexpensive ideas for setting up gardening areas. Thank you.

Hunt for old corrugated tin water tanks. Cut em up and bingo.. Also hunting for Logs in state forests is another cheap route for raised beds. Using plastics for ur garden beds is not great and as they degrade they release hydrocarbons into ur soils. Better ,cheaper and environmental options than
plastic bags yall...

Useful tips. But... who are "they" who don't want us to know about this? And why don't "they" want us to know about it? Is this some kind of scandal or is the title for this just click bait?

If you don't have a soldering gun (or a glue gun) : Take a wire hanger, straighten the hook with your hands, heat it over an open flame, press it onto what you want to melt a hole through, abs repeat.

You're welcome ❤🙏🏾🙂

Be aware that tarps a get brittle when left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. The burlap cover was a great idea.

So for $2.20 for the bag, about $5.00 for some storebought dirt, and I'm estimating between $5 and $10 for the burlap, I can make a $2.00 bag. Is this a government thing?

micro plastics is a macro concern. Better use just card bord, and create a bushcraft basket from branches as inside scaffold. Outside still covering with burlap, but also using inside the branch basket, will look almost identical.

Cardboard or burlap over bag is nice twist. Because Blue tarp material after a few months in the sun and it will start to break apart into zillions of micro plastic pieces.

Great in theory, but would not use this for anything longer than transporting. I don't want all of that plastic coloring getting into the soil - better to plant straight in the ground and use the cardboard as a seasonal garden bed siding.

Low cost growing solutions? I'm listening- those bags of dirt get expensive although saving on the planter certainly helps a lot in its justification.

I have a question about the safety of planting edible plants in the plastic bag intended for transport and storage. Is the plastic stave or will the particles leach out into the plants and food ? Also all plastic is coated with oils or powders to keep them from sticking to each other. Are these types of bags safe to eat our food out of? We have some ! Thanks !

Thankyou! I just cut all the grass off an old pile of soil that used to be a wishing well. I'm guessing the dirt and grass roots will serve as a good base, to top with soil. Not sure how im enclosing yet..maybe chicken wire, and cardboard. All i know is i gotta start somewhere, and get things growing. Went to buy a couple starts from a local organic grower, neighbor, asking $10, $20, and up , so i got a couple, but cant affordd lots of those,
