Absolutely do NOT crop the dog ears. Would you crop your own ears just for looks? You are literally making the dog hurt just for your personal satisfaction. If you are willing to cut your dog's ears cropped you don't deserve to be a dog owner at all.
ОтветитьHaving owned, bred Dobies, worked for several Vets, Seen the inside workings of how it's done and how it heals.....how it hurts... leave them as God intended. Yes they appear a bit goofy to those who prefer them trimmed, but unless you have a future AKC Grand Champion. Just neuter/spay and love your baby Au Natural..
ОтветитьAll dogs that are cropped fall into the category of breeda who can randomly attack a family member. Trauma is trauma
Ответитьcropping is wrong. How would you like if your parents decided to chop your ears off.
ОтветитьMutilating an animal because it "looks" better is barbaric. Hence why its illegal in a lot of countries. If you do this to your dog you deserve prison time or perhaps have your own ears hacked in half.
ОтветитьSo yeah, it's just for looks. Poor dogs 🤬
ОтветитьMy opinions that non cropped ears are better for the dogs sense of smell, debris in the wind less likely entering the ear canal and also in cold weather can add to frost bite protection. Cropped is only for looks, no health benefit. I like the looks of both but my dogs are lab look alikes.
ОтветитьIm glad you did this! I like your videos but never understood why you cropped Arlo’s ears. Now I see the pros. But still glad Leo has his floppy and sometimes erect velvety ears.
ОтветитьI am in Australia so cropping and docking is illegal . I prefer the look of the cropped ears and docked tail and I can say my euro Doberman is recognised as a Doberman and having ears and a tail has not made her any less intimidating she still easily does her job protecting and is extremely alert with ears . I would prefer the cropped and docked look but I also realise it’s not medically necessary and I like it purely for cosmetic reasons and that’s not a justified reason
ОтветитьOne is cruel and one isn’t, nor rocket science
ОтветитьOnly a total scum bag with the mentality of a 1 year old would mutilate a dog to look "hard". These people have a serious mental problem, but we all no thatvwhen we see the morons with the poor dog. Unlimited fines and dogs removed to a better home
ОтветитьGet a working cut if you crop them, not a show or military cut. It will look better and have better chances of success standing up. If you do not dock the tail, you run the risk of getting a bobbed tail, especially with American Dobermans.
ОтветитьI love your video but america is so unnatural country with so many things, I feel so sick when I hear that if the dog did not cropped they can not be in that group, btw saying " breed standard" is not pros
ОтветитьCalm down Karens. when done right, it is a small surgery for a lifetime of cool looking ears as well as being less likely to get infected.
ОтветитьAmazing how this is illegal in most countries as it's animal cruelty. America......
ОтветитьNatural ears are so much prettier ❤
ОтветитьMutilation
ОтветитьThe map of India you are showing is not correct.. I condemn your video
ОтветитьCropped ears & docked tail.
They look so distinguish that way.
Just look like any dog if not cropped.
If done right no pain, or very minuinm. Sedated
My Dobbs had no problems. Get a good vet who is familiar with procedures.
Nothing comes out without a real purpose. Cutting the natural parts just for fun is stupid.
ОтветитьI like natural ears, i have a GSD/Hound mix and I love her natural hound ears
ОтветитьI’ve only learned that dobberman doesn’t have a natural pointed ears, now I don’t want to cropped their ears when I’ll finally have my dobbie, because they look so cute and more so sociable with their natural ears besides I don’t want to hurt them & risked anything for them. But the reason why I’m still considering the cropped ears is because as a single woman with my grandma I do want to have them look more intimidating for people because we have a store and we almost got robbed, literally jumped to our tall gate and had the audacity to open our door, fortunately my 20 year old cousin finally had the courage to yell. My grandpa died so there’s no more authoritarian person or alpha in our family, so now I’m weighing between natural or cropped, but I’m still on board with natural ears.
Ответитьwolves coyotes jackals hyenas all have pricked ears
Ответитьthe floppy ear is a result of domestication
ОтветитьWhat if i wanted cropped ears and normal tail?
ОтветитьIt’s cruel and there isn’t any PROVEN scientific research to prove it helps from a health perspective. It’s purely cosmetic. If you want to put your dog through pain for how it looks then you shouldn’t be a dog owner. My opinion.
ОтветитьCan we ear crop a 4 month doberman?please suggest.
Ответитьleave the poor dogs ears alone
ОтветитьLike declawing cats, this is mutilation, pure and simple. It is cruelty at a barbaric level, total lack of respect for another species.
Ответитьpersonally i just dont understand it, besides there is many intimidating, guardian dogs with naturally pointy ears, no surgery necessary, get one of them instead >.>
ОтветитьI have 2 German Shepherds and when its their time my next 2 will be Dobermans (1 Male/ 1 Female) both cropped ears and docked tails.
ОтветитьPersonally I feel long cropping looks really goofy. Out of any type cropping style I only feel show cropping looks proper, as well as the least impactful to the dog's natural ear structure. Not to mention that's how they were originally cropped.
ОтветитьBack in 1976 I had both crop and natural I live in California USA and the uncrop Dobie suffer so much from flies bitting his ears so every day I had to put ointment to prevent this and the crop had no problems now is illegal back then it wasn’t
ОтветитьInteresting how all the pros have nothing to do with the dog's well-being, whereas all the cons do.
Case closed.
It's human ignorance.. it's vanity.. it serves no purpose but for show reasons.. When I breed rottweilers they keep their tails.. I'm that kinda guy..
ОтветитьIt is better not to cut in your dog. In Europe it is not legal - It is also not legal to cut there tales of. But in the US they dont give a S... - In the US it is OK to harm dogs and other animals.
The excuses you give for cutting in your dog is 100% pure BS.
Cropped
ОтветитьUncropped and undocked Louis Doberman's grave would be turned over & it wouldn't be a Doberman
ОтветитьCropped ❤
ОтветитьHas to be cropped ,when I was circumcised,I didn’t have a say so in it ,neither does my puppy .
ОтветитьI had a male, uncropped Dobe. He was an awesome Dog!.... he had constant ear infections though
.. yeast issues, because his ears couldn't dry out as easily. He looked like a hound dog. Still awesome, but cropped ears gives you the fierce appearance that is such a strong 'bad guy' deterrent.
Thank you for your informative video
ОтветитьFor me, unless it's a medical requirement I'm not gonna put any of my dogs through unneeded medical procedures for no reason my Jack Russel never had her tail docked and she was perfectly happy and healthy to the end
ОтветитьCropped Dobermans are the best
ОтветитьI went for the cropped look. Didn't bother her at all, was her same old puppy self the next day, just with something on her head, which after a while she became so used to it she thought it was part of her "uniform" and stood still while I posted her ears and put the cone on. Floppy eared dobies look like hound dogs. No thanks.
ОтветитьIf I get one I’ll probably leave the ears and tell the insurance company it’s a coon hound
ОтветитьIf nature made em this way there's a reason !
ОтветитьUncropped.
