If the 420-620 figure is accurate. >620 is most of orange and all of red.
The remaining colors make a blueish - purple

Great video but very much focused on night vision qualities. I wish these sights could all be compared void of any talk of night vision because some people go a different route for night vision capability or do not have it at all.

A clone correct comp M2 is going to have missing turret caps with the adjustment tool slots gouged to near unusability and a killflash that's seen multiple impacts with the bumper of an LMTV.

I just bought my first aimpoint but it was for a retro Gordon Carbine so it’s the old as hell Aimpoint 5000 it has a connection issue with te switch aimpoint tech said he thinks he can fix it and they’re even gonna cover it under warranty so crossing my fingers cause I only paid 100 instead of 700

I laughed at “great lengths to acquire the comp m2/m3 battery cover.” You just order it from brownells for $5.

Great video! I love my PRO. I’ve had it for about 8 years now, no issues. I wouldn’t buy it again, in 2023, but it’s been a great optic.

got a t2 and returned it, the only useable brightness settings were 9 or up, 9 was only useable in pitch black
supposedly aimpoint weakened all the brightness settings on the new ones
the cheaper aimpoints, aside from being reliable and tough have trash features compared to any other companies red dots at the same price

I just got the RDS duty and love it. I don’t do night vision so not worried about that.

Just to flesh out a bit more of the history here, the CompM2 wasn't the original M68 CCO -- that honor goes to the CompM XD, which served as the M68 from '97-'99 after improving the Comp series battery life from the 300 or so hours of the original CompM to a whopping 500 or so. The M2 didn't come out until 2000, but that was indeed the model that first introduced us all to "battery life isn't a thing anymore", which is why a lot of people think of it as the OG for modern red dots. That's when Aimpoint's ACET technology hit the scene, but not before 100,000 CompM XDs were already in service.

For me. The ACO is just fine. It does what it’s supposed to do and does it quite well. It’s not fancy nor expensive, but it’s always reliable.

I’m still amazed that citizens use night vision. They’re either poaching animals or they’re pretending they’re still in the military while bragging about a DD214….😜

You're 100% incorrect! The original Aimpoint PRO came with those "bikini covers"! And if you'd researched this you'd know it! I bought one years ago and it came with the exact covers as the Comp M3! Might want to research before you post videos, because you can even find photos of the O.G. PRO with those exact bikini covers! It's not something that people just bought to pretend like they had a Comp M3, they actually came with them factory originally. The 2nd Gen PRO did not come with the same battery attachments/covers that the original did.

Remember when the PRO first was released and Aimpoint wasn't selling it to civilians? Pepperidge Farm remembers. At the time, I purchased one from a local gun shop that wasn't abiding by that LE-only nonsense. Aimpoint just wanted civilian plebs to shell out the money for the more expensive options. The PRO was a decent option for the time period. Today, I would agree the best value is the SIG Romeo 4XT Pro.
