That’s why I switch from PlayStation to Xbox too many security issues and they’re slowly updating in still right to this day. I still buy an Xbox and PlayStation just to play Spider-Man but have any PlayStation five I just noticed they won’t even update and make your discord even better, how are they going to keep their security good if they came in here too hardheaded to even look to the future, let alone their software update so like so slow and we get it like probably every few years on PlayStation and every couple of months and even with not gonna be a software patch Xbox does it in the background thing Your consul is wired to if it’s in rest mode to always up today so no one pretty much know but I can guarantee you it does that because I don’t really sleep so I know that does that cause I play my Xbox and I always have to update and I get angry again I just updated yesterday But yeah like I said I watch this video just cause I wanted to show my friend that no Consol is perfect. He says the red ring of death from the 360s were bad and I say well the PS3 was bad and they had a hack, and we were all shut out of playing our consuls for years Byam this is a wonderful history lesson. I just hope it doesn’t happen again specially Cuz, my friend when he starts to hate something he will never touch it again so if it happened to PlayStation, he’s never touching a place again or an Xbox. That means I want to find another way to play video games with him , please pray for me this will never happen

I remember being mad as hell that their apology thing with giving you free games never went through for me 😂 at that time in my life I didn't have a whole lot of games I basically just had my handful of games, whatever I had rented at the time, or any demos. Man I used to play so many demos repeatedly back then. Not just cause I was a kid and could do that no problem, but because a lot of those demos were actually something you could play for a long time. So basically I kinda needed those games they promised and I got screwed 😂

I remember slamming down my controller in frustration cause i wanted to play cod4. Good thing it didnt break lmao!

Now Sony is failing their customers again with the PS Portal. Plz Anonymous, give those Nipponers another cyberattack again. We need your help.

I remember being at me friends house and this happen, they let him get 2 free games digitally when the servers went back up.

It felt like it was offline for a lot longer then 23 days. I guess because I was younger but that 23 days felt like 3 months lol. I had just bought black ops a few weeks beforehand.

I remember the significant amount of free games and downloads given out after the hack

I first started online gaming on december 25th 2010 when i got a ps3 for christmas -_-

this hack i remember it like it was yday... me and my brother had recently got MK9 (2011) and were eager to play it online but weren't able to cause PSN was down due to the hacks. tbh it turned into a blessing in disguise. since we couldn't play online we went into the dojo and practiced and practiced more we labbed so many different characters and combos. lol by the time PSN came back online and we went to challenge people online we were able to babality like probably 85% of our opponents lol. i maintained a 2100+ 1v1 rating with a 10-1 W/L ratio and was in the top 50 ranked players pretty much the whole time. lmao good times

Sony stepped into it though when they started gathering data from people just from viewing a video and using it as a threat. As a good rule don't threaten people as a giant corporation cause people will generally look away when someone retaliates to those threats

Ok when you buy a car you can't look under the hood or mod your body kit? There just pissed they got 1 over on um

not fair to call any company a failure without a ful understanding of how hard it can be to protect data.
the question is: was it Sony's intention to be malicious?
the hacker have some responsibility to this as does anyone who place their trust in technology.

I remember this vividly... My buddy and I were playing Black Ops 1 and suddenly, we got the fabled message "PlayStation Network is currently undergoing maintence". Thought it would only last a few hours, then 23 days went by...
