Hello, I managed to get it to boot from NVME, following your guide. The board is an ASUS MAXIMUS Vgene. The problem is that if the PC is disconnected from the power, the Bios is deprogrammed and I must configure the CSM and SECURE BOOT again. any advice ? THANK YOU

Hey i hadn't considered putting Clover or the closely related rEFInd on a USB drive. That may just be very useful.

Is there any other ways to add an NVMe boot Option ROM that would chain to the BIOS in a PC? It stands to reason that there should be possible to manufacture an NVMe adapter card which is also a Boot Option ROM. Remember when you installed an Adaptec or whatever IDE/SCSI/SATA card in your PC, it came with a ROM chip that attached to your BIOS and allowed booting from the card. Or even Ethernet cards with a ROM Chip also Boot Option ROM to allow PXE Boot. Remember?

It really worked for me. I installed windows 10 on pcie nvme drive then I used clover on stick usb made with rufus as non-bootable gpt partition. Very nive tutorial!

Awesome video! You helped me solve this problem so quickly. I upgraded a Lenovo Thinkstation P300 with a pcie m.2 drive and now I am able to boot to it with no issues. You are the best! Great video! I am going to mod the usb 2.0 header on the motherboard so I can just plug the usb drive in inside.

Mine windows already Installed in NVME and I tried your method by making an another portion of 512mb from a HDD but it's stuck on black screen cursor after clover loading up and entering in Nvme drive

Hello - I have tried this. PC boots in to clover no problem but when I select the windows drive it doesn't load (just shows black screen with flashing cursor). Does the windows boot drive need to be configured a specific way?
