I've more or less been running the 2x32GB 4800mhz cl 40 version of that kit at 5400mhz all auto and 1.3v on the Asrock PG riptide b650m for a decent while. Been alright so far. By a decent amount the cheapest line up of DDR5 2x32GB kit. I suppose the best quality of the ram is the price.

Buildzoid is there any folow up for this ram kit ? After latest HUB video about timings for zen 4 cpus, you gave them settings for hynix rams. What about tuning timings for this ram kit instead of frequency increase ?? HUB didn't tune 4800mhz cl40 kits, however trying hynix timings on micron memory ain't good idea. Any way to do tinkering of this kit but reviewing how latency and timings can be tuned while staying at 4800mhz ?

I cant over clock my ddr4 Corsair dominator platinum ram 8x4 over 3866 even if I increase the voltage over 1.5volts it just doesn't cope well and crashes for no reason. I am looking at 5000mhz ddr 4 ram but it's just so expensive.

Hey there I have the same exact motherboard and ram (only 16 gigs),I tried these settings and they work good but I have to start the PC twice if I turn off the PSU. It's a thing it does only on first boot up and only if previously switched off the PSU. Maybe something related to ram training but I'd like an opinion

Again, this shows that it is crucial to overclock / tighten a crucial brand.. i just did myself BLM2K8G40C18U4B 4000Mhz at 16-19-16-16-36-60 at 1.46V roock stable, runs like a charm, aida shows insane speeds like 60GB/s read with 47ns lat. Edit: samsung b-die is still no.1 but is more sensitive to OV/temps, 1.5V ddr4 crucial is still very ok i was told

Hi , im about to buy a complete new pc and i was watching video's of ddr4 vs ddr5..
Now in general i understand that ddr4 is a little bit better timmings wise..
BUT ! if i could buy some (cheaper) ddr5 sticks and overclock them without anything special (hardware wise) i would love to try this..
Do you also think this will close the gap between ddr4 high speed vs ddr5 overclocked sticks ? for gaming mainly.
im thinking about buying either Crucial CT2K16G48C40U5 or Kingston Fury Beast KF548C38BBK2-32 wich one would you recommend ?

Should I get the Micron Crucial DDR5 4800mhz CL40 32gb(single stick) or G.Skill DDR5 5600mhz CL36 32gb(2 sticks)? The G.Skill sticks are about 75% more expensive here for the same amount of ram..

Will the G.Skill DDR5 6000mhz CL36 32gb(2 sticks) make any difference over the 5600 model? it is even more expensive..

i have G.SKILL F5-5600U3636C16GA2-TZ5RS and i would like to OC them a bit but am confused/lost on what timings i need to set to get like 6,000 at least.

Did you ever tighten these timings or post an update? I just got a 4800 ddr5 micron kit (oloy) and started overclocking ram for the first time. This video has saved me so much time from reading forums, huge thanks!

Edit: I have it to 5400 with my timings at 38 39 39 48 and tREFI at 32000 (65535 didn't improve my timespy score and neither did any other sub timing changes so I left the rest on auto). I'm at 1.25v, other voltages on auto (MSI mb) and stable in memtest. 18,300 time spy cpu score and haven't OCed my 12700k yet

Greetings BZ, Im scratching my head about something I dont understand quite well.
Ryzen 5000 has the sweetspot frequency at 3733MHz iirc, so if I buy a 4000MHz DDR4 CruBall MAX kit...tuning the frequency down to the 3733 MHz...does the higher frequency bin allow me to get tighter timings then the 3600MHz Rev E Crucial Kit turned to 3733MHz? Or does it end up equal?

Are Micron chip so much bad? I've buy them on a kit of vengeance at 4800mhz for 280€ and i'd like to reach 5600mhz. Is it possible in your opinion?

Idk what I'm gonna be able to easily push them to, but I just found some Kingston DDR5 sticks at 6000MHz at CL40 (so I can finally Install my upgrade parts)... But I'm not sure of the other timings... What do you guys think?

Edit - Welp, the RAM I have coming isn't even on my motherboard's QVL list so hopefully I can get it to boot at the stock settings first...

i bought OEM Asus sticks (= rebranded Micron OEM sticks with green pcb's) and managed to push them to 38-40-36-52 @ 5400. After tuning secondaries and tertiaries, I got 65ns in AIDA, which is okay for Micron ICs. Pretty happy with these, I thought they wouldn't overclock much at all.

Disappointed at 4 DIMM performance, I thought DDR5 was registered by default ? The thing is, you don't need the performance benefits of a memory overclock when the system is new, but when she's getting long in the tooth and has had the ram expanded, that is when CPU bottlenecks and need all the RAM speed you can get.. /still on Ivy Bridge DDR3 here... was holding out for DDR5 and the promised benefits..
