Maybe Fedora is better in theory, but for some reason it works terribly on my gaming laptop. One reason might be that wayland and my Nvidia card does not play ball. On Ubuntu though everything just works perfectly.
ОтветитьGnome must have extensions like alphabetical app grid, dash to dock and others in order to be fully functional..they should include it by default, at least dash to dock to be visible all the time
Ответитьi feel there is just something about the comfort that gnome gives, idk enjoy how good or bad it is, but for whatever reason gnome feels like home, maybe i will try running a KDE environment for a longer period of time next time
ОтветитьSpins Cinnamon
ОтветитьThe workspaces view is mostly used instead of the app switcher.
Gnome users do indeed switch workspaces often, it's natural on it to keep 2-3 apps per workspace.
If you are looking for an app, you just type it's name from the workspaces and open it. + the possibility to go to the workspaces you want it opened on.
If you need the app menu, it's just Super+A
ive been using Fedora since 2014 and ive loved almost all of it. and Gnome is great for me.
ОтветитьFedora really is perfect with the KDE spin
Ответитьits been better allways? there is same packages they not even make. its linux lol
ОтветитьGunome is alright. Now I am going to go sharpen my kunife.
ОтветитьExpecting a comparison ubuntu lts 22.04 vs fedora 36
ОтветитьAre you for real? Why would you even ask if Fedora is better than Ubuntu? Are you been serious now?
ОтветитьSuper key and type program. It will launch, application menu is more of a site tree or for tablets..
ОтветитьThe finest part of Fedora is that it provides pure GNOME experience without any modifications.
ОтветитьThe problem I have with gnome3 is that they basically rely on extensions for customization way too much.
ОтветитьThis guy hardly puts any effort. He just learns as he goes about making a video.
ОтветитьAs for me- a chalkboard is better than ubuntrash..
ОтветитьFedora 35 live wouldn't connect to my WiFi. I'm not installing a system where I have to use Ethernet andthe first thing I have to do is fix the wireless. And I'm no fan of Gnome anyway. In Arch I launched iwd and connected right away then post install the wireless works flawlessly.
ОтветитьFedora seems to have released a LIVE version. I hate it.
I just want to install the shit on Virtual Box as a full version. I want to use the entire 50 GB that I assigned to it. How do you get away from the live version
You can double press super key to get the applications menu
