can you please explain how to set up trade companies and where to set them up i have been using the charter company diplomatic action to set up trade companies but i really dont understand the process behind it so plase explain it.

I took inno instead of infrastructure for my first idea group.
Second is planned to be exploration as I aim to take protuguese colonies through a war with england and then catapault through africa
Unsure about taking expansion as second idea
Also I accidentally became HRE emperor so i couldn't annex any princes for a while
