Your tutorial on Layers is excellent. is it possible to get your tutorials in manual form??
ОтветитьI am new to Affinity Photo and I have to say , you are the only person that takes the time to thoroughly explain HOW to utilize the tools to create beautiful photos ! Thank you !!
ОтветитьI am new to Affinity and I absolutely Love your method of teaching. Thank you for taking the time to explain where, why, and how. However; I do have a question. I noticed that your images indicate "pixel". When I placed my images they say "image". I think this is why I can't follow and get the same results as you do. Can you advise on what I am doing wrong? I may be in the wrong video also. I am trying to blend an image I have into another image, by placing it behind words that are on there. Is there a way to do that? Am I in the wrong video. thank you in advance to anyone who can assist.
ОтветитьI wish I hadn't been so ignorant about the power of layering for so many years. There are a ton of photos in my collection with bland skies that I could have fixed. I could still do it, I suppose, but I'd be busted immediately.
ОтветитьVery good one
ОтветитьMichigan accent?
ОтветитьGreat looking easy , but still have to study your video, it’s step by step but fast for beginner To understand, including name and how to step by step and no expecting us going back to anther videos to know what’s happening 😊 shal I say I’m slow learning. 😊
Ответитьthis is a very mature comments section. I'm surprised nobody has made the obvious joke. ogres have layers
ОтветитьHow do you add layers ?
Ответитьbrilliant
ОтветитьI love you. You are the KhanAcademy of Graphic Design, more specifically with Affinity.
ОтветитьGreat video. Can you tell me how to add a different photo to the layers panel?
ОтветитьHi. I'm a portrait artist and need help as to how to overlay photos for purpose of correcting the drawing of, and placement of facial features in a portrait painting. In this instance I'm working from a photo of my subject, and can't work out where I'm going wrong with my drawing using the traditional methods. I've been told that there is a way to upload the original reference photo, and then a photo of the painting which I can then adjust to make it the same size as the reference photo. Then I'm supposed to be able to make the photo of either the painting or the reference photo transparent and then overlay the two for comparison. I've never used more than the basic photo software that came with my Imac, and haven't a clue what to do. I've downloaded the free trial of Affinity, but before I commit to the full purchase I need to know how to to do the overlays. Can you please help me? thanks
ОтветитьThank you for your video am new to Affinity just upgraded today! Got to get used to this newer software was using Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended; WOW TALK ABOUT OLD! Question [prior getting into the hard stuff] how would I get a lens flare into the photo to look realistic? Do you have new videos for me to learn or do I have to go to a certain site to learn?
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьGood teaching style, I like that you show up which tool you're using and where to get it!
ОтветитьHow did you get two pictures as layers and one as the background locked?
I have two pictures opened. First picture clicked on and it is locked. The second picture I have opened when clicked on shows the same as the first, just a background and locked. Each time clicking on a picture just changes the background layer locked.
The rest of the video is very good at the explanations.
Your videos have been a just what I needed as a beginer in post processing. Masks have been a nightmare upto now. Had 2 images I need to put some apples on a grey background for my camera club project. Endded up cutting and pasteing. Just been through this video. Went back to may 2 images, had the same problem as phlotographer, thanks for the heads up on the replies, and took me 5 mins to get the 2 images together. Looking forward to going through the rest of the series. Learnt so much in the first 5. Thanks for your help.
Ответитьthanks i always have trouble with layers I'm a bigginer i now have a bit better understanding how they work will keep following your tutorials
ОтветитьAffinity Photo is my default post-processor since October 2018. Thanks to Anthony Morgan video tutorials that helped me understand the principles behind the specific action I wish to accomplish. Anybody who ask me how to use Affinity Photo, I simply point then to Google "Anthony Morganti on Affinity Photo". . . . I have also mastered Luminar 2017-2018 from watching Anthony Morganti's video tytorials on Luminar. . . . Thanks Mr. Morganti !
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьAnyone know how he got the lighthouse pic into another layer?
ОтветитьThank you for this video! Very EASY to listen to and follow! Thank you. Please make more for Affinity Photo!
ОтветитьVery helpful video thank you.
ОтветитьI appreciate your tutorial. Well done. Thank you. 👍
ОтветитьThank you for explaining this so clearly.
ОтветитьI don't mean to sound like another mean internet troll but you repeat yourselves over and over and over again. This might be OK for someone that has never used this program before, people that are generally not computer literate, and if that is your target audience, then your doing a great job. But for the rest of us, we need something quicker to the point. If we miss the point, we can always scrub though and find it again. Can't do that with this 'long winded' narrative.
ОтветитьCan someone please tell me how I can get the layers tab showing, I only have adjustments, effects, styles and stock showing. Thankyou.
ОтветитьAnthony! Your amazing! I’ve had this picture of a couple of eagles sitting on top of a pine tree against a white sky. I’ve been trying thru selection to add a colorful sunset sky to the image. I could never get it to look right. Close, but just not right by my (low) standards, right. I tried the blend mode as per your excellent instructions and BOOM! I did it and it looks like for real!!!!! I’d give you a big fat bro hug if you were here, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
ОтветитьHow did you add the lighthouse shot as a layer in the first place? My intuition would be to use the "New Layer From Snapshot" in the menu, but when I click on the this there is no submenu dropdown - it doesn't do anything. Not of the other add-layer options seem appropriate either. So I've crashed before I've even got off the ground Please help! Thanks.
ОтветитьExcellent straight forward explanation, thank you.
ОтветитьThank you! Great video!
ОтветитьHi Anthony. Do you know if Affinity Photo for the iPad Pro works in the same way as the desktop version?
Ответитьrather than starting the video with two layers in existence, it would have been useful to show how you added each layer to the program once it is opened and that way the student will have the information from the very beginning as to how to create the final image. I really liked your showing as to how to create the image using blending and the mask feature of AP. Maybe just an addendum to this video as to how the two layers were created would be nice. Also, when doing your work, do you adjust each layer prior to combining them or just take the original camera file and combine and then adjust?
