ОтветитьI chanced upon this video, and remembered I was there in Jakarta at this Java Jazz... After the night's performance ended, We all returned to the hotel for drinks with George and his crew till nearly 4am... 😂 I felt like Forrest Gump.
ОтветитьThe groove is strong with this one. 😄 I miss you Mr. George Duke.

ОтветитьHappy Birthday George, you live on through your many wonderful recordings. Rest in keys brother!
Ответитьthat is a keyboard or a guitar?
ОтветитьGeorge showed a true mastery of his instrument.
This is simply one of the best electronic keyboard-played piece ever.

Ця людина вже давно померна.
ОтветитьThis man shares my birthday, 12th January. I saw him close up at the Sourh Bank in London, 1993 - he and I jived whilst he played his booglariser - me a ‘petite’ white girl and this incredibly funky guy - it was, to me, spectacular. 30 years on it is still one of my favourite memories. So I’d like to say, rest in peace, George and thanks for THE memories. Just love ya man, Jane😊You are Funk!
ps Incidentally , that boy sure can drum - no question.
George died way too young,....at 67. Considering B.B. King, & John Lee Hooker, & Ramsey Lewis, all performed well into their 80s. Sadly most of my relatives all died in their early 70s. I don't know how long I will live. I just turned 70 in December of 2023. It was surprising to me. I was exposed to a lot air pollution, worked in jobs where I was exposed to toxic solvents. Most of my friends have already died, too. Dying in their early 60s. It has helped having a state of the arts hospital, just a mile from my house.
ОтветитьAcho a harmonia tão incrível e nova, embora já tenha se passado dez anos e eu tenha assistido tantas vezes.
ОтветитьThat drummer waited his whole life to let that out on this set.
ОтветитьThe way George looks at Bruner during his solo gets me every fuckin time 😂
ОтветитьThat drum solo was stinkyyyyyy ewwwww who gave this guy rights to play soooooooo good
Ответить
2023❤
