Hello Peter, hope you’re doing well! I have always wanted to own my own set of Harry Potter books, and I was looking into getting a house set, (mostly for collecting purposes), as well as some first edition American books from thrift stores for reading. I was wondering if I buy the house set off of Bloomsbury, is there a way to tell if it’s a first printing before purchasing? I would love to have first printings of the books, (in hardcover), but not sure how I should go about it! Thanks ahead of time and hope you have a great day!

In the brazilian house edition, the stripes at the text block is the house scarf. They modified the art just a little to become the scarf. It's really cool. 😍

They all book end keep each other

Would of been neat if they would of done them all black and all colored for each paper back and hardcover so you’d have a set of all black hard covers and all colored hardcovers and vice versa for the paper backs

i cant wait to get the slytherin hardbacks! i have all 7 books but they are really old, beat up, and very mismatched between paperbacks and hardbacks, as endearing as they look on my shelf, i cant wait to get the slytherin edition to display

When you think about it a "hero" can be a synonim of character for a story, So if we go by that heros are characters, so it make sense for the "heroes" of slytherin to be Voldemort, Belatrix and Narcissa as they were important to the deathly hallow story, as the "heroes" in the other 3 books are also important characters to the story

Peter did you notice( at least in the slytherin edition as this is what I have) the snake on the spine on deathly hallows book is mirror image of the snake of Phylosopher stone spine. It is like bloomsbery has opened with the first book and then closed the series with that mirror image.

Been a subscriber for a long time but my first time to comment, I'm planning to buy my very first HP books after 12 years of being Potterhead ( I'm too broke and I'm only 20) with this house edition, and all Slytherin (I'm too proud of my house to choose other house edition lol!) can you please help me decide? what should I choose or what's better paperback or hardcover? and I'm planning to buy the set which will be released respectively on Nov 11 this year and Feb 2 next year, should I pre-order or wait for the release? Am I the only one really upset about the fact that, except for Hufflepuff, Pihilosopher's Stone's title is of a different colour from the others? (For example, Gryffindor's first book has red title, while all the others has gold title)

I think the Slytherin edition is the best overall for this book.

I feel like they could have done better for the Slytherin house (I'm not a Slytherin this is just my opinion) during the battle there was some heroes you could use they could have had Kreature with his locket and the rest of the house else (that also kind of represents regulus black) you could have had slughorn returning with everyone else, and though I'm kind of happy they didn't go for this one you could have had Snape after being attacked.
