Godzilla vs. Kong - Movie Review

This story and acting are sooooo bad - one the worst movies of all time but one of the best for fight scenes and special effects

Loved this movie, it is a perfect braindead action movie, went with some buddies to an afternoon showing at a cinema/pub, it was an empty theater so by the end we were shitfaced and cheering

Godzilla may fight a kong in the messed up gravity in Godzilla X Kong..

The characters were honestly pretty dumb and i didnt care for them at all!! The black dude just made the movie a bit worse and was annoying!! I hope they get rid of him in godzilla X kong and dont try and replicate him..

The Monsters and fights were A+.. The characters i didnt really care for.. The black guy tried to hard to be funny... U can thank disney for that trying to be funny to much..

This might sound stupid but one thing that annoys me about this film is that Kong never once bites Godzilla, whereas Godzilla bites Kong a lot.
Kong's canines would do massive amounts of damage to Godzilla (if they can pierce his skin, which I'm 100% sure they could)

Writing was horrible in this movie

I liked how they showed how intelligent these monsters are & allowed them to have true purpose instead just depicting them as just big & destructive. The fight scenes were great too. I thought they would be too big for the screen & would be shot like how transformers was shot… which was terrible & you never could actually watch the fights. But they didn’t & shot them perfectly. Especially the throw down in hong Kong with the beautiful buildings & lights. So dope.

I like the movie, but have some questions. Kong found his home, but it was totally abandoned, no one of his kind. Can you call it a home? Who killed them? How he got up to the earth surface?
Hope they will do some continue on the next movie 😬🙂🤞

I was just looking for a fun action packed film and I got that 100 percent. It’s not amazing but I still had a great time

Its was ok but the whole annoying (kids) parts were too many, and the MIDDLE EARTH was just dumb lol.
Also the G vs K on the carrier was retarded as how is it big enough for G let alone BOTH of them 🤣🤣🤣

For anyone that doesn't like the B-Plot with Millie, YOU NEED to go watch "GvK: The Kongdensed Edition". It's 36 min shorter and removes the Scooby Gang entirely. It's real and it's great. 😀

Godzilla KOTM is better than GVK imo

Godzilla looked obnoxiously healthy and intact after being beaten within an inch of his life by the end of the movie. I guess the budget ran out to make him look damaged.

I wanna watch a movie of Kong in his home paradise having fun and living life . I’d love for the scientist to help him get a lady kong and repopulate his home lmao I just wanna see Kong happy, he deserves it♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

My favourite movie of this new series is the first one for sure. 2014 Godzilla felt so epic. And you felt so small seeing it through the eyes of the little ants doing things. The character work was awesome in that one too, mostly because there were like 3 characters? I think. So being able to follow the soldier and know his story was quite cool. The camera work and cinematography in general built around the massive size of these monsters, all together it’s one of my favourite movies ever, Godzilla vs Kong is good in all the ways he explained in this video, but the things they did so great in the first one are not there at all. Plus Godzilla uses his breath attack too much but I had fun that’s what matters. 👍

This is 1 of those movies where I still enjoyed it for what it was but I also feel like it could’ve been much more, I think that if they never got the idea to make this into a shared universe and just made it a completely isolated movie like Joker and they kept the style and tone from the 2014 Godzilla I feel like this movie probably would’ve been really awesome, it’s kinda like a reversal of what happened with DC, where I feel like them choosing to shift away from what Zack Snyder was doing ultimately worked out better for them with this universe I feel like it didn’t, for the most part I’ve still enjoyed the direction this universe has gone but I’m not gonna lie, I think it probably would’ve been even better if they stuck with the style of the 2014 Godzilla

The special effects and fight sequences in this movie are absolutely amazing. They could not have made the final 45 minutes or so any better

I am a fan of both the King Kong and the Godzilla titan monster. But this movie is simply sooo ridiculous and stupid at so many levels.

I don't want to be that guy but if I'm bringing honest I'd rate this movie a 3.2 out of 10. The acting, the characters, the logic, no build up.

Kong have bigger hand, and arm.. bigger mouth and canine.. but, the real Gorilla strenght are never shown.. kong punches like always useless.. im love it and so sad at the same time..

I have lost all tolerance for "conspiracy theorist characters being right" trope, this last year. I had such a hard time tolerating those scenes in the movie, even though I was aware that I probably would have loved it back in 2019. Did anyone else have similar problems with those scenes?

Team Kong

Jeremy Jahns was more critical of this one but this was my favorite one of this “series” so far! Thought the humans were more interesting than those in the previous ones and the fights seemed bigger and cooler.

(spoilers for those who hasn't seen the movie) I Looked very much forward to this movie after i had seen King of the monster. I loved that movie. For the most part, Godzilla vs kong to me was ok. I wasn't a fan at all of this weird second world inside earth. I wanted kong to actually be this titan animal and not some kind of an old species of a creature with weapons and it's own kingdom. The fight on the battleships was great but after that, I always felt i was missing something. I enjoyed the battle against mechagodzilla more. That was a great surprise. Short said; i enjoyed King of the monsters more than this movie.

Very fair review. I grew up watching all of the old creature movies. I loved this movie.

I came here expecting to see everyone crapping on the movie, since I hated it so much. And I can't believe all of the positive comments I've read. Like, WHAT? Story-wise, I was completely lost from beginning to end. I never knew what the hell was going on. What's up with all of the stupid technology and spacecraft crap? Is this a Kong/Godzilla movie or Star Wars etc? This was so bad that I'll probably never watch another Godzilla related film again. I never was much of a fan of Godzilla. But King Kong had a few good movies.

My only disappointment with this film is that Kong never threw his shit at godzilla like a real ape
