Missing anything?
Ответитьhow much does it cost you all pleas answer
ОтветитьReally nice compact rig. What makes it great is you have the V-Lock plate attached to the camera. I have C300 MK II and you have to start putting rods on, so it automatically gets bulkier as you need base plate etc, etc.
ОтветитьDa du ja offensichtlich auch großer Fan von Top Handles bist: Schon mal den HTN2362 von Smallrig probiert? Ist imo vom Gefühl in der Hand mit Abstand der angenehmste von Smallrig!
ОтветитьGreat info!!
ОтветитьHi - I got the swit monitor and am using the canon viewing lut for clog 2 on the c70 - I can never get the swit to match the canon lcd colour / it’s either too warm or too blue - any tips? Thanks!
ОтветитьThis was inspiring. I’m actually back to building my perfect rig for my pocket 6k. I found myself leaving my pocket behind for the simplicity and easiness of the C70 but I actually prefer the image of the pocket. I started it a year ago and got annoyed and frustrated, and then stripped it down for a battery grip. Now I have everything except the matte box. Great rigs are a game changer for the experience. Helps you really appreciate the getting the “shot” plus your back and shoulders will thank you in 15-20 years of doing it. 😂
ОтветитьThanks for this, I have been looking for affordable rigging options for my c300 since I got it and this rig fills in all the blank spots I still have.
ОтветитьI just bought the c300 two weeks ago and run it in a similar hand-held style. Cool to see how you have yours set up. Nice video brother
ОтветитьSurprised you don't use the rear EVF. I find that very useful in extremely bright environments, even with a 7" ultra-bright monitor.
ОтветитьSorry, gotta have a viewfinder.
ОтветитьThe Canon C300Mk3 has timecode. Why do you need that Tentacle Sync connected to the camera?
ОтветитьI was planning to watch “Navalny” documentary, but now will definitely need to watch it. So cool, you’ve got yourself involved in this project man.
ОтветитьDo you find the smallrig monitor mounts annoying? They keep going loose over time and I have to be tightening them when shooting.
ОтветитьCool Set-up Damion! So you switch sensor modes when you add the 18-35? Does the 35 end of the sigma also work in full-frame mode?
ОтветитьA very nice build - thank you for the full breakdown!
ОтветитьI think this is a great setup, but personally I would NEVER use it for documentary work. Even if I had 20k budget for my camera setup, I wouldn't feel so comfortable running around with something that expensive. I don't want to catch the attention of people. I think especially for documentary work story is key and smaller more affordable cameras like the Sony A7Siii or BMPCC4K can do a great job as well and can even win awards if the story is good. Good YT channel though! Keep up the work!
ОтветитьYou had me running to check my SmallRig top plate to see if I have those same holes that can support the stock Canon mic mount! Can't believe I missed them until now!
I'm running a C200 (with the Ikan C200 cage), but have the C200 SmallRig plate, too. Just a note, on the C200, because of the EVF hump, the SmallRig plate is meant to be used with the tapered end towards the EVF, otherwise it doesn't fit. This means that the mic holder screw holes end up just a centimetre higher, more or less, and don't get pushed forwards and to the left like they do on the C300 because you're able to use the top plate the other way.
I was really pumped for a second there!
my dream camera. that or the c500.
ОтветитьI agree with you about the top handle I have that same one works great!
ОтветитьThis video was so helpful, I’ve been looking for an affordable top plate for my c300 since it came out and not wanting to spend way too much money on the wooden camera one, thanks bro!
ОтветитьCool. I have a similar set up. C200 with V mount batt and Atomos Shinobi.
ОтветитьWhy would cine lenses use more battery power?
ОтветитьLooks great! For my setup I do a very similar setup! I run my nato rail forward/back instead of side to side so I can adjust the top handle balance on the fly. Also! I add Canon BP60 batteries under the full frame mount as a backup. The camera runs the Vlock down first, so when it dies I can hotswap and keep the camera running if that might be needed. Plus it's an hour of insurance if the vlock goes down earlier than expected. I also sometimes split out the full frame adapter's dtap power to a distro with 3-4 additional dtaps and power my accessories off that so when I do a battery swap I don't need to unplug the transmitter.
ОтветитьDo you ever run dual lav setups? Interested in seeing where those would be attached on the rig. Great video!
ОтветитьAlways on point! Thanks Damien.
Ответить😍😍😍
ОтветитьDream set-up.
