Starfield : How to Select Multiple Parts in Ship Builder

You didn't explain how to do it with the controller but I found the answer in the comments.

Pretty straightforward, but how do you do it on Xbox? I seem to be able to multiselect with A on Xbox, but then I cannot seem to move all the pieces as one. I click and hold A on the grouping, but then it seems to just select the piece that my cursor is over. Any help would be appreciated.

easy straightforward ... should have gotten it by myself but i DID NOT! :D so thanks.
Bonusnote: if you doubleclick, you select ALL parts, if you wanna for example delete everything or color everything.
