Back when letterman was funny. After he left nbc, he turned into a political, bitter douche bag.

Larry "Bud" Melman was a treasure. I miss him. One of the biggest reasons I was a Letterman fan back in the day.

I grew up with uncles like this.
When I was 18, I broke my hand and my Uncle Louie wrote on my cast, "Schlemiel, you had your fun."
Man do I miss that generation.
And props to David Letterman for seeing hilarious comedy where others wouldn't.

Tatter tots, with the rare sight of soon to be star Chris Elliott breaking, is a great moment in North American history

I wish Larry/Calvert were with us today so he could do one of the staff favorite moments videos.

Comedy gold. And this is why I still love Late Night vs Late Show Letterman. Low budget comedy at its finest.

How they missed the opportunity to put Larry in one of those orange Jack LaLanne spandex suits, I'll never know!

Does anyone else find it odd how Calvert DeForest and Larry "Bud" Melvin were never once seen in the same room? Methinks there is some bamboozling afoot...
