Great video no one ever breaks down the point hacking like this
Ответитьminor nitpick: British Airways Avios can be used to book both American as well as Alaska flights, as BOTH are oneworld members.
ОтветитьLots of good information, but your rapid fire delivery makes it hard to follow.
ОтветитьHello Daniel. Great info. Rewatched this vid. Not sure what you mean in the Southwest example. If I call Chase do they tsf points to SW or make a purchase $ @ the 1.5 CSR rate?
Slow down, yikes dude
ОтветитьLove your channel, you have taught me so much! If I had found you earlier I would not have lost out on a referral bonus for getting my wife to join Chase Sapphire preferred card she got 😂.. keep up the great work!
ОтветитьHey just found your channel! Great content! Thanks I appreciate you
ОтветитьHe would be well served to slow down, not an auction
ОтветитьI've always heard you should NEVER book a flight through a 3rd party, due to cancellations being such a problem when you don't book directly through the airline. Is this not the case with booking through the Chase travel portal?
ОтветитьThank you so much. Your videos are so well put together and extremely informative. Keep up the good work!😊
Ответитьnice info but i hate your body language, rip
ОтветитьShould I close down my Southwest account? I don’t want to pay the $65 annual fee. I do have a chase sapphire preferred. Is there a hack to use these two cards? Otherwise do you recommend if I just close the Southwest credit card? According to your video, I can transfer my miles or points to Southwest anyways. How about their companion
ОтветитьHow many months ahead should I book my flight if I am planning to go to an international destination?
ОтветитьImagine if everyone's just using points to fly first class and they all "feel wealthy," thinking everyone around them is the sucker that paid cash, but in reality, they're the sucker because they bought into that giant lie and the credit card company found a way to convince them to give up 3-5x as many points for the same trip.
ОтветитьDo u know any good transfer partners through Chase to fly to Asia?
ОтветитьGreat vid! But isn't redeeming at Hotels, Car Rentals counterintuitive when it comes to maximizing points? They give you 10x the amount of points, really 15x when you redeem in the Chase Travel portal. I always rack up points by paying with the card for hotels and rental cars regardless of how many points I have, because I know I will get 15x back for every dollar I spend. Then I use those points and redeem them on the airfare, because I only get 5x the points, or 7.5x since in the Chase Portal by paying for flights. I'd rather pay for the 3 things that get me 15x the points (hotel, lyfts, rental cars) than what gets me 7.5x the points or less. I then use those points to redeem on as much airfare as I can, then pay the remaining balance with my card to get 7.5x for remaining flights. Does my strategy of only spending on what will maximize Travel points make sense?
ОтветитьI have Chase Aeroplan (Air Canada) in addition to AMEX Delta. They provided a really significant welcome bonus. I recently made reservations for a flight using the multi-city layover option from Vancouver to Bangkok and back from Bangkok to a US destination. I experimented with various layover locations, including Paris, NRT, Seoul, and Sydney, Austria. Unexpectedly, the system accepted for Sydney stop. No brainer for me that I can still travel to Thailand even when I receive a free flight to Sydney for $310.
Ответитьflying blue sucks its probably one of the worst reward program.
ОтветитьGot a really good 2.30 ccp for a united ticket! I was thinking of upgrading the economy ticket with cash, because I need to get some points for my silver status. Do you think that would be do-able?
ОтветитьTrying to go paris in June and have no idea how to find a good points flight lol
Ответитьdid you compare points vs round trip tickets. I bet the per points valuation will look a lot less appealing when you compare round trip tickets, especially for international flights
ОтветитьThis was SOOO helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьThis video provides a helpful account of the best ways to maximize Chase points for flight booking. However, I would have liked to see more details on how to maximize points for upgraded or business class flights.
ОтветитьComplete points for travel beginner here. Can you tell me if I open a CSP and once issued the 80kpts SUB, can I then transfer those to a Southwest Card pt balance to help reach the 135k points needed to get the Southwest companion pass?
ОтветитьDoes this video not take into account the fact you earn 5-10% back on points when redeeming through the portal (as opposed to transferring to a partner)?
ОтветитьAwesome video! Thanks~!
ОтветитьAnother sweet video
ОтветитьLove the content. Keep it coming
ОтветитьWay to break it down super clear Daniel. Love these examples.
ОтветитьCan I transfer miles to points too?
ОтветитьAwesome video Daniel! I Would like to provide some feedback when you do this type of example video, it will be good to see the examples with a round trip instead of a one-way since we will have to buy a ticket back anyways, other than that excellent content!
ОтветитьThanks Daniel!* Love the videos and your effort to make complicated concepts easy to understand shows!
ОтветитьWe got the 100k Southwest bonus and got the companion pass. So we're flying all over the country for 18 months for free.
PS: I'm quite tall, too, and want to be out of cattle class if we're going to fly to New Zealand.
Great beginner info. Thank you!
ОтветитьHow does this work with taxes?
ОтветитьWaniel
ОтветитьGreat Info, but you are talking a mile per sec which makes it so hard for me to follow.
ОтветитьI have a chase United
Card and have a lot of points and want to use them for a flight to the Philippines, thanks will check flights when I get home
Another thing to note is that once you hit the transfer button, there’s no un transferring them, so make sure you have a plan that’s set in stone before you transfer points.
ОтветитьGreat video and examples very helpful. Is there a way to get chase points over to delta sky miles
ОтветитьGreat content and break down!
ОтветитьGo birds! First time viewer, and love the video :)
ОтветитьI'm with you on the economy flights and nicer hotels. It's what I did when I went to Madrid last Fall. I flew economy then stayed at the 5 star Hyatt Thompson for only 15K points/night.
Ответить"if we can get this 1000 likes"
ОтветитьGreat examples. Thank you
ОтветитьFlying Blue does seem to have some good deals. I got a round trip economy flight from ORD to ZRH later this year for a total of 32K pts. I didn’t find any other airlines that had rates anywhere near that.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьHi Daniel I need to buy a plane ticket to Río de Janeiro. Can you please tell me if I can use my reward points. I have the Chase Sapphire and also the Capital One Venture X, thanks in Advance
ОтветитьI have a quick question. I always want to try to get that 3.5% back when I use my chase card for travel. But when I use the travel portal on chase. It tells me that I need to use my points. So I did use them but I didn’t get 3.5% points for useing the travel portal. I’m confused on how to use it without giving my points away too. If anyone can help
