If your DNS leak test shows more than 1 server, you are leaking. It should be a single DNS server that NordVPN is subscribed to. There's an exception to this, but it's too complicated to cover here. Other than that, your video is nice. You can manually get all of the config information using the "wg" command using the Linux Ubuntu CLI. But, yes, you must have a NordVPN account---the NordVPN client installed and running correctly to get the Wireguard config from a working and running NordLynx connection.

Very helpful so far, but I have an issue. I got everything to where I am testing the config in wireguard. I have my private and public key loaded, but when I save configuration, The key for both the Interface and the peer change to be identical (the Public Key)l. I see in your example they stay unique, Even though the row title in the interface area says Public key. What can I do to get this fixed? Its not allowing a connection when I activate it

Thank you. I was able to follow the instructions. The drag and drop or the copy paste of the conf file did not work as it inherited permissions for root user only. I was able to copy paste the content in to an email to transfer the content. I also did get stumped on using wireguard. Did not know that I had to download the wireguard software. Nevertheless, I was able to generate a file, which I could import in to my gl-mt1300 router.
The best thing with using wireguard connection vs the regular vpn (open wrt) is the speed.

So...I followed the instructions here and generated a couple of files for different countries. I set up my router with them and they are working. I am having a problem. Sometimes, when I connect to a server and run the script, it just sits there without completing. After 5 minutes or so, it is still hung up. Any suggestions as to what is wrong?

can I still see and use my NordVPN Meshnet devices if I use this method?

Thanks for the tutorial, while I went another route (install nordvpn, install wireguard, extract config), I couldn't get it to work as I didn't type the DNS in the interface section lol! You saved me maybe another hour.
