I think another interpretation about Ymir’s story is about cancer. The hallucigenia is said to be the source of all life - yet it’s influence is malevolent . It s a virus that won’t die - like how cancer is a cell that won’t die. Normal cels are programmed to die after a certain time. This is like how ymir chose to die, and like how shifters have a time limit. Cancer spreads like how the eldian empire spread. The only thing that stops the spread is when the cells stop reproducing and terminate. Thus, the anti-natal plan of Zeke was ymirs design, as was mikasa killing eren- she represents the white blood cell overcoming the virus (halucigenia) and terminating the cancer cell (eren). Two cells from the same body fighting .

I’ve got a better theory about Ymir’s motivation. Her first action is to free a pig - a meat animal. I think she hated humans and loved animals and wanted the world to be free of humans. The plan she’s manifesting in the Paths is attempts to wipe out humans through titans wars. Have the Eldians kill all other peoples (titan wars) and then make eldians turn on each other (attack on titans) to cause full extinction. Perhaps that’s another reason titans eat humans - because Ymir felt sad that animals (the pig) are eaten by humans and she wanted to make humans feel what it’s like to be a meat animal.

It makes no sense that Ymir apparently accepted her enslavement. She was not born a slave. She disobeyed the rule by freeing a pig. She didn’t admit to it. She ran away . Everything shows she’s resisting. Her being so devoted that her afterlife even remained a slave dosent make sense. I think an alternate theory is necessary. It’s the Halucigenia she’s enslaved to. The hallucigenia made her fight for fritz, and put this whole plan into motion.

So Fritz set Ymir "free". Therefore at the end of Attack On Titan, Eren wanting to be free mirrors her getting hunted in the woods

The question i still have is since Ymir makes the titan bodies in paths, who made her titan body since paths didn’t exist yet? Maybe it was a physical manifestation of what she wanted or maybe the spinal creature has a say in what it looked like, idk but her founding titan looks awesome

ymir didn't die because she took that spear. with how much bullshit reiner survived a blow to the heart is not lethal. with a strong will to live a titan shifter can survive a lot. like goddamn zeke even, he was a torso and he came back to life.
ymir perished because he will to live faded away. the manga did not do a good job of showing that i guess, but the anime several times just showed how effective survivors the titan shifters can be.

I thought that Ymir died becaue she wanted to, since she suffered a lot. And even though the theory sounds nice that Ymir might've created her own Titan from the future, I think that no, she didn't create her Titan; It's that hallucigenia thing or something, the source of all matter, that transformes her into the original Founding Titan. Since we all know thar Eren's Founding Titan wasn't created by Ymir, but rather that hallucigenia or something that turned him into that thing.

Ymir chose not to heal because she doesn't have a will to live. even reiner says something about this in s3. also the spear clearly doesn't pierce her heart like you say.
