watching this actually made me wanna try Legion Commander with Aether Lens. it was funny but i got my ass beaten repeatedly.
what would happen was that a lot of the taunt time was wasted walking towards the enemy so i couldnt complete many Duels early which is both very funny and very sad

It seems that nobody cares to understand what this match was. This isn't ranked Dota. This isn't... Competitive Dota. This is Russian Dota - and in this particular instance it wasn't even a toxicity-filled match.

Let me try to explain this. Imagine 10 men who's 20 to 40 years old, and they work 5 to 2, or 6 to 1, or maybe even a full week for 10 to 14, 15, even 16 hours for each working day. This is their recreation event. Some probably prefer to play while drinking their favourite beverage, which usually is beer, so they might be mildly inebriated.
They don't want to be in the high rank. They are capable of getting to it - some are, at least - but then their favourite after-work pastime will be gone, and all the opportunities to have fun with it as well. You might've seen it even on one of the highlights, if you know the russian - a casual topic of yearly income in the all-chat, a conversation between gentlemen who are here to relax, to have fun, not to win. Enigma even asks whether they should continue when that AM was hitting the Ancient, because they knew that this game is already nearing the 2 hour mark, and there's only so much a single match can give, but when it ends, they'll have to go back to their lives.

And while it's a good entertainment to see it through the lenses of this style of commentary, it's just not for it. Legion, in particular, was chasing their power fantasy, and they knew what they were doing from the start. It never was about playing for the win.

That legion build is lowkey interesting.

at least half the team is just smurfs. noone in herald thinks to switch items late game (like AM). plus LC's build is pretty good, and he always remembers to break linkens fast. you can tell by their movements too
