ICU nurse for 8 yrs. ICU needs to calm the f down with their reports received and find out shit when they get there. ED can only do so much. Its absolutely ridiculous that there are icu nurses like this still
ОтветитьI'm an ICU I could care less about the skin, but you are gonna give me beside report and start that pressor for that 61/32 pressure. 😊 mic drop. I never trust er report, it usually includes them telling me by double amputee ambulates to the bathroom 😂
ОтветитьTRUTH!!!!!!
ОтветитьAs an ER nurse giving a patient to ICU, my trump card is “If you let me give you report, I’ll take the patient for all the newly ordered CT scans before we go to ICU”
ОтветитьHahahahaha
ОтветитьLolol ER nurse here....ACCURATE 😂
ОтветитьI love this
ОтветитьICU doctors can be complete jerks when it comes to unstable or complicated patients. They refuse to take some of these cases because they think they have no chance, and I think it's disgusting.
ОтветитьThe lick was pricless!
ОтветитьICU Nurse here! SPOT ON!!
ОтветитьHe's a really gunny fook😂
ОтветитьIn any emergency situations, between an ICU vs Emergency RN, which one would you choose to rescue you?
ОтветитьER nurses are more badass and stay cool under pressure.
ОтветитьI... have no idea what's going on here.
ОтветитьI was at a hospital and I heard rapid response team every hour and now I know what it means 💀
ОтветитьAustin NO!!!!!!
ОтветитьER nurse here. Two very different worlds; I could not tell you how much I respect the brain of the ICU nurse. As I like to say, we stop the plummet from the precipice, ICU hikes them back up to the peak. Both worlds are magic.
ОтветитьOMG as an ER RN this is so true....ICU nurses are ridiculous sometimes
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ответить...the war.
ОтветитьOh gross, don't lick it!!! 🤢😂🤢
ОтветитьMy husband died last April in the ICU. He was brought in by me at around 1a.m. to Emergency, taken back immediately and it took until around 7 or 8 a.m. to get him into ICU. He was in ICU 4 days and passed from Cardiogenic shock brought on by 10 years of congestive-heart-failure that ended with a failing heart and acute kidney failure. I'm glad I had no idea this type of stuff was going on in the background. Incredible how the doctors knew exactly what was going on with him and kept me filled in the entire time. At the end he had 6 IV's, some meds keeping his weakening bp up, a dialysis machine that balanced his electrolytes, his potassium was 7 when he came in and could no longer stand up on his own, had a full oxygen mask on. He had a horrible nose bleed the 3rd day, and the 4th day had air hunger where he just sucked in air in big gulps. His tongue was so dry the tip had become hard. Late that evening his last day he asked for everything to stop. He said "stop it". Aftervthe doctor determined he was knew what was asking for (otherwise the decision would have fallen to me, and yes I would have honored my husband's wishes) they made sure he understood once they began disconnecting his IV's his bp would begin to drop. They would disconnect the dialysis machine, give him Adderall and Morphine, that his heart would stop. It went peacefully. I am greatful for their care and tenderness, openness and professionalism and humanity. Hardest thing I have ever been through. I will grieve for the rest of my life.
ОтветитьI love it! “Who’s Braden?” Like how are you going to do an overall skin assessment on a trauma patient? Wouldn’t it be nursing malpractice to stop treating a patient to perform a Braden assessment? Maybe they should add in a fall risk for good measure 😂
ОтветитьI like the little clinical showdown with the two of them lol
Ответить"You've got something on your face." And he licks his fingers?!?!
I'm dyin' here!!!🤣🤣🤣
THANK YOU!!! SOOOO HILARIOUS AND ON POINT
ОтветитьLet's not forget to add, "it's 15 minutes until shift change, it's time to send all these patient's to med-surg"
ОтветитьYep one type of nurse thrives in chaos and the other in micromanaged structure.
ОтветитьThe best one yet!
ОтветитьHot Damm this is on point!! I love the “western theme” phone silence standoff, Priceless 😂😂😂
Ответитьalso can he use the bathroom by himself?
ОтветитьLol! That is so true😂
ОтветитьLOL !!
ОтветитьThat lick at the end got me bad.
ОтветитьBen is such a cool dude. Austin is lucky to have him as a his colleague.
ОтветитьOmg! I’m been a nurse for 30 years. Thank you for making me laugh. Over and over again ♥️💕😂
ОтветитьYou forgot the part where ER fills them with Epi then rushes them up to ICU so the STATS wont show he kicked off in ER…
ОтветитьHere's me today asking why the ICU knows Daedric
ОтветитьNot to ignore all the stories in the comments, theyre all very important and insightful. But can I just
That almost lick at the end. That had me cackling.
What’s john doe?
ОтветитьBest skit I've seen. I looped it because it's so well done. Good job!
ОтветитьThe western showdown music was great!! Lol
ОтветитьGo go badass Ben! Loved the long pause 😁
ОтветитьAnnoys me to no end someone who knows more about the patient than you acting like they don't. "I don't know anything about this patient!" Can cite all the procedures, lab values, vent settings and meds by memory.
Ответить😂❤
ОтветитьMeanwhile, that motherfucker is permanently flatlining in the other room 😭😭
ОтветитьSay thank you Epic ICU & ER nurses. 20 years ago those phone calls were real- paper charts didn’t allow for snooping what’s in the ER
ОтветитьI physically flinched and grimaced at the last part when he went to taste the blood.
ОтветитьWow I guess I'm the patient here. John Doe 🤣🤣🤣
