Good work! It would be fine to have IF of several Megacycles (for example crystal filter ) - there no needs input narrowband filter (only thrid order lopass filter up to 2Mc), and a widemand loop (or any else) antenna .

Nice to see your attempt at building an AM receiver without any IF cans but only ceramic filters! I have tried circuits that use cans for the 1st and 3 rd IF stages with a ceramic filter for the 2 nd IF amp, the IF being 455 kHz. Keen to see your progress with an all ceramic filter IF amp design. I am sure you will come up with a receiver that performs well. All the best...

I would love to see a simple working model. There are still plenty of AM stations in North America.

It's those older transformer cans and their slugs that I can't figure out. Thanks for teaching me in a previous video that the ones with a white-top slugs are tuned to 455kHz. I had no idea about the built-in capacitor. That information is like treasure and it's nice that you share. I never bothered to look and see if the colours are standard or not.

...[after about an hour]... I can't find any white cans in my parts. Sometimes I would like to try things the way they were done before. Maybe the colours are different in Canada/US?
