If this video helps at least one person it was worth it. Thanks for watching!
ОтветитьThis is inspiring. I am currently 43, working as full time caregiver at the same time studying a degree in IT. I studied at night while my dementia elderly patient is so noisy. I kept doing because this is the only chance I have to go away from this very stressful job. My dream is to become a professional web developer or be working in same field. I took IT degree instead of CS to learn more widely about programming, informations and the internet. I kept studying self-taught and I still do. By next year I would be ending my caregiving job and will start to climb a step into technology field. May God willing 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for these inspiring and motivating video. God bless!
Halfway through and all I can say is thank you.
ОтветитьI can't believe you are a programmer. I think somebody should be a genius or very intelligent to be a programmer.
ОтветитьYour are mirroring my life i am 32 and recently started

ОтветитьMan seeing this rn is motivating. As someone who also wasted their 20s in their 30s now tryna change things around. Have a daughter I’m raising on my own. Studying for my comptia a+ and self learning coding it’s been difficult and I feel like some times I should just give up. I know this video is a couple years old but I just want to say I really appreciate the motivation
ОтветитьThank you man
ОтветитьDorian I come from the same background and also a father and husband took up a bootcamp course and have been struggling came across your video and inspired me to continue! ОтветитьThank you Sir Dorian, it means a lot to me. I will come back here once being successful to tell you my story! Cheers man!
ОтветитьI am 44 years old and I have picked up and set down web developing for 20 yrs at least. I remember the first book I got was HTML for Dummies. It feels like so much to learn. I was smart when I was in school and people still call me smart. I am not sure how to get started. I believe I need something more structured. I know free code camp is there but I think I need classes and a curriculum that may be self paced also. I have worked in customer service since I was 19 years old. I am so burnt out that it is not even funny. I just can not make myself do this anymore. I dread going to work and I worry about having to go to work when I am off, which ruins those days cause all I think about is that I have to go back there again. I just got written up and it looks like I may lose my job. I have a new home my families first home ever in generations. I don't want to lose that. I just need help to get started and see if I can turn my future around. I have no kids not married so I also worry about who will take care of me if I need it when I am older. I want to at least have money for a great place. I want to know what it's like to live debt free and not pay check to pay check. Anyway any help is appreciated even though I know that this is an old video so no one will probably see it. <3
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьThanks for your words man
ОтветитьI started out with loads of motivation, but now I am a few months in and it's waning. I'm trying to stay motivated! My main thing is getting OUT of call center work, but I keep doubting myself.
EDIT: I also feel like maybe I'm too old, since I'm 43. I wish I had started this in my twenties or thirties
I´m Colombian. I'm currently trying to learn to speak English and to start programming, I consider this has been one of the most important videos in my life because I feel completely sure that I want to start this career. I'm almost 22 years and the next year I'll start the university. Thank you so much for helping people to realize their own potential, I'm sure I'm going to study it.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThanks man, I needed to hear this, cuz I’m scared, I’m really scared, I feel like I’m not capable or smart enough and I’d fail at this, but I still want to try, so thank you for telling us your story.
ОтветитьYour story made me emotional and motivated too thank you so much ❤️ for share that🫡
ОтветитьBro thank u for this motivation, I'm really feeling down right now because I failed in my major subject which is programming but I have a 2nd chance to pass it, I will make sure to make it this time.

ОтветитьI yearn to learn Python but I am struggling to figure out where to start. All of the courses online are mostly theoretical. I am visual learner. I need to learn by doing things practically. Can you please help with that?
Ответитьthank you so much. today you made my day and now I feel better and more confident. just a big thanks for you
ОтветитьThank you very much for this video, Dorian! You're great.
ОтветитьIm 34 have masters in Mechanical Engineering and just paid all my debt off. Never did drugs. In school since I was 20-26 and the debt of education is a real bitch.
ОтветитьHey Dorian, I just came across you videos TODAY and I want to say thank you for your content. I’m 40 years old and I’ve been stuck in customer service and sales for over 10 years and started looking into tech side of things a couple years ago and after interviewing at scamy boot camps I finally came across a code camp that offers scholarships and I got in (I can’t believe it).
I’ve never stuck with anything really but I been on this journey and I refuse to give up once I finally start class next week
It’s kinda crazy how similar we are at our start points. I’m 28, going to be 29 in mid September. I only had my grade 9 and I was working construction and absolutely hated it. Did some adult school and got my diploma in 4 months and I actually did very well. I got a 91 in grade 11 English and 85 in grade 12 English. I didn’t even hand in the final assignment that was worth 30% of the grade because I already knew I was passing with a solid grade.
I used to be horrible in school, never did homework always just showed up and did the bare minimum getting a 50-60 in all my classes. Skipping half of my classes didn’t help either.
Anyways I got my diploma this year in June. Applied to a community college near me and got accepted. I’m going to be taking a 2 year computer programming course and possibly a 3rd year in computer programming and analysis. After that I may go after a graduate certificate in cyber security which would only be a 1 year course.
I had no idea I’d actually be excited for school but here I am.
This gives me hope. Im 23 and got outta rehab a year ago and been bettering my life but still finding myself. Ive learned about coding and stuff and used ta have an interest in it but didnt believe i could do it. This past week ive been more and more fascinated with it and realized i can still make something of myself i can still BE the man i always thought i was incapable of. Your story means a lot ta me man. Thank you.
Ответитьthank you man, thank you very much!
ОтветитьNothing's stronger than a man rebuilding himself ❤
Ответитьi am 14 years old im learning html css javascript a little bit and learning react

ОтветитьHere for motivation! Let’s go!
